With summer in full swing, a spritz cocktail is always a great choice to enjoy all summer long. I love spritz type of cocktails as well as light wines that make it an easy sip  as well as mixes well with heat and humidity!

 Riboli Family Wine Estates, creator of America’s #1 Imported Italian Wine Stella Rosa is pleased to launch Rosa 22 (15% ABV), an aromatic aperitivo crafted in Italy’s Piedmont Region, famous for producing outstanding aperitivi & vermouth.

The perfect blend of bitter and sweet, Rosa 22 is a spirit that is both complex and clearly defined, creating an exquisite drinking experience. The recipe is the result of 22 natural ingredients of fruits, spices, and herbs, which give Rosa 22 characteristics of an amaro with slightly sweet floral notes. The mixture steeps in stainless steel tanks for 60 days before undergoing cold stabilization to obtain proper mouthfeel and clarity. The liquid then goes through two types of filtration methods to remove all solids. This creates a unique cross between a spirit and an aperitivo. Rosa 22 is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or mixed in a cocktail.

“We are capturing the spirit of the famed dolce vita era of Italy in the 1960s, with the return in popularity of these amari and herbal liqueurs,” said RFW vice president Steve Riboli. “We feel like Rosa 22 would have fit in perfectly then, as it does today, as a unique sipping drink, enjoyed either with a slice of lime or mixed in a cocktail.”

At 15 percent alcohol by volume, the suggested retail price is $25.99 per 750ml bottle. Rosa 22 will be rolled out to stores across the country throughout summer and fall. For more information visit www.rosa22.com.
