In January of 2015, The Glenrothes Whisky claimed the World Record for the largest Burns Night Supper of all time with a whopping 645 guests in attendance and raising over £100,000 for charity all while celebrating the life of Scottish poet, Robert Burns.
While The Glenrothes won’t be sponsoring another massive Burns Day extravaganza this year that doesn’t mean they won’t be celebrating. There will be poetry, there will be haggis, there will be folk music, and above all else, there will be whisky.
On January 25, 2019, on what would be Robert Burns’ 260th birthday- join in the celebration with a Burns Night cocktail, appropriately named, The Robert Burns or a dram of our spicy Glenrothes 18-Year Old (see below) .
The Robert Burns Cocktail!
Ingredients:
+ 2 oz The Glenrothes 10-year-old
+ 3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
+ Dash Orange Bitters
+ Dash Absinthe
Method:
Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Stir well.
Strain into a chilled glass.
