Here’s what I found most want — even if they don’t have hair long enough to do it. The classic ponytail is everyone’s dream spring and summer hairstyle because it’s fun, breezy and sexy. It’s easy to dress up or down and has a timeless elegance to it. It just requires some extensions.
The how-to shown below demonstrates the process to create the look that is the final gorgeous ponytail. This look requires a hair professional to do this, but you can see why once you have the extensions in, why would you take them out anytime soon?
Here’s how to create a voluminous ponytail hairstyle for any occasion!
1 Start by applying the wire section of a set of Velo extensions (pictured in shade 60) to the crown of the head and tighten as needed. This set was pre-curled before application.
2 Using the end of a rat tail comb, pull out a layer of natural hair.
3 Unclip the second weft of the Velo from the first and prepare to apply it.
4 Clip up the top layer of natural hair then secure the second weft.
5 Brush out the hair to blend it.
6 Tease hair on the crown to add some volume.
7 Pull hair back into a low ponytail, leaving out some face-framing pieces. Secure with a rubber band.
8 Gently pull on some pieces to add volume and texture to the ponytail.
9 Apply Flexible Hairspray.
10 Curl the front pieces of hair using a curling iron or mini flat iron.
11 Finish off with a cute bow or ribbon.
12 And that’s it! A voluminous ponytail hairstyle that can be dressed up or down. Plus it has the added bonus of being super easy to create!
