Mark Wain and Gary Chau, pioneers of L.A.’s third wave coffee movement and owners of Caffe Luxxe, are excited to have opened their highly-coveted coffee and lifestyle brand in Long Beach today, December 6. This will mark the Caffe Luxxe’s 7th location as it enters into its 13th year of business.
Caffe Luxxe’s Long Beach café is excited to be among the premiere retailers at 2ND & PCH and – the café offers a selection of fresh pastries and is outfitted with a complete marketplace curated with a collection of products perfect for holiday gifting, including their NEW Ethiopian GESHA – one of the world’s most sought after coffee varietals!

To commemorate this opening, Caffe Luxxe has released an exclusive coffee blend only available at this location. Their Naples Blend, named for Long Beach’s adorable waterfront neighborhood, will be a blend of coffees from Brazil and Guatemala – this medium-bodied blend evokes a beautiful aroma of toffee, citrus zest, and toasted nuts with a flavor profile of black tea, cherry soda, and white grape.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the beautiful and family-oriented community in Long Beach, where there’s a true sense of neighborhood,” shares Chau. “We are excited to share a space where family and friends can get together in a social environment, and your barista knows your name and favorite drink.”
Caffe Luxxe roasts all its coffee locally, by hand. It’s a farm-to-cup concept, which means their commitment to serving great coffee begins thousands of miles away at family-owned and operated farms that practice sustainability. By focusing on building great relationships and transparent communication with farmers, Caffe Luxxe can secure better coffee for its customers and better lives for the families that help produce their coffee.

About Caffe Luxxe
In 2006, Caffe Luxxe was created by two best friends, Mark Wain and Gary Chau, who quit their corporate jobs to build a dream of owning a local neighborhood caffe. Their first caffe in Santa Monica helped Los Angeles discover what fine coffee could taste like, encouraging people to turn off their technology for a moment and be present to socialize with family and friends. Inspired by European sensibility, Caffe Luxxe is recognized as the pioneer of the 3rd wave of coffee in Los Angeles, is the first in the city to have started the trend towards hand-crafted, freshly roasted artisanal coffee and espresso before national-scale outsiders entered the market. Caffe Luxxe is still one of the few truly local coffee roasters born and raised in Los Angeles. Building good relationships with coffee farms, roasting coffee in small batches, and handcrafting every single drink is their daily passion, and they have earned numerous accolades by journalists and customers for best-tasting coffee in the city year after year. www.caffeluxxe.com

Caffe Luxxe is definitely on my radar. I can’t wait to get down to 2nd and PCH to check out that store. Two weeks ago I was at 2nd and PCH with a bestie and we walked the entire shopping center. It’s an amazing place. And Caffe Luxxe is on my “must try” list because I love great coffee and tasty pastries!
