There are always times when you want to have a great cocktail that fits in with the season. That’s probably the easiest thing to find– even online. However, finding a mocktail or three is a much harder effort. Why would you need a mocktail? You might be the designated driver, have a big day *(school finals for example), working is always a good reason so that you get a good night’s sleep and also driving any distance are all good reasons.
I am sharing a few cocktail recipes that really fit for Holidays 2019!
NOLET’S Silver Apple Cider Punch
Ingredients:
750 ml NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin (I love Nolet’s Dry Gin. It’s a perfect substitute for other spirits and will give uniquely different presentation of any cocktail!)
2.25 L Fresh Apple Cider
2 Whole Lemons, Juiced
Lemon Wheels
Green Apple Wheels
Method:
Add all ingredients to a punch bowl with a large ice block.
Stir well to combine.
Serve over ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a thin slice of green apple.
Russell’s Reserve Boulevardier
Ingredients:
1 oz. Russell’s Reserve 10-Year-Old Bourbon (a great bourbon whiskey that’s worth test-driving with your friends and/or family!)
1 oz. Campari
1 oz. Cinzano 1757 Vermouth
Orange slice, for garnish
Method:
Combine Russell’s Reserve 10 Year Old Bourbon, Campari, and vermouth in a cocktail shaker.
Fill with ice and shake vigorously until the outside of shaker is frosty (about 30 seconds).
Strain into a chilled rocks glass over a large ice cube.
Garnish with orange slice.
ADULT MOCHA
Created with Van Gogh Vodka’s signature Espresso Vodka, this coffee-inspired cocktail will give you just the jolt you need. A simple cocktail to prepare, our Adult Mocha can be enjoyed casually or as a quick party cocktail. This is one of my favorite cocktails as well as favorite vodkas!
Ingredients:
2 oz. Van Gogh Espresso Vodka
1 oz. milk
1 pinch cocoa powder
1 pinch raw sugar
Method:
Enjoy Cold:
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and shake vigorously.
Pour into a rocks glass.
Garnish with raspberries.
Enjoy Hot:
Heat milk. Add all ingredients to a mug and stir.
Garnish with cocoa powder.
DOUBLE ESPRESSO MARTINI
Created with the Van Gogh signature Double Espresso Vodka, this coffee-inspired creation makes the perfect winter cocktail. A simple cocktail to prepare, the Double Espresso Martini can be enjoyed casually or as a quick party cocktail.
RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 oz. Van Gogh Double Espresso Vodka
1 oz. coffee liqueur
1 oz. Irish cream
Method:
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.
Strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with three floating coffee beans.
This finishes the alcoholic cocktails. Now you have a couple more MOCKTAILS that taste really awesome!
MOCKTAILS
Below I have a collection of mocktail recipes from PLATED.com that are very easy to mix up and have the look and flavors of the alcoholic drink but without the alcohol/ 1
Unfortunately, PLATED.com is no longer in business. So the recipes are great to use but access is no longer available.
Mocktail Mule
This booze-less twist on the spicy ginger cocktail gets a hint of sweetness from honey. And yes, you can still drink it in a copper mug.
Ingredients:
honey
1 half lime
2 ounces fresh lime juice
3 ounces ginger beer
Instructions:
-Make the honey simple syrup:
Add equal parts honey and water to a small saucepan and heat until the honey melts completely into the water. Set aside, and let cool.
-Muddle lime and 1 oz of honey syrup in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
-Add the lime juice and shake with ice for 10 seconds.
-Strain into a glass or copper mug.
-Top with ginger beer and stir.
Virgin Piña Colada
You may be thinking: what’s a piña colada without the rum? Well, it’s still just as delicious, thanks to pineapple juice and coconut cream. Blend this one up for a little taste of the tropics any time of year—even when it’s snowing.
Ingredients:
1 cup ice
3/4 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup coconut cream
1 tablespoon white sugar or honey
ice
pineapple slices, for garnish
Instructions:
In an electric blender, blend all ingredients until smooth.
Garnish with fresh pineapple slices.

Virgin French 75
The French 75 is one of our favorite, elegant cocktails, usually made with gin and champagne. This mocktail version imitates the drink’s delicate flavor with a mix of tonic water, citrus, and bitters to create the perfect sip.
A note:
There are some varieties of bitters that have a small alcohol content, so make sure to look for alcohol-free bitters if you’re trying to avoid booze completely.
Ingredients:
3 ounces fresh lemon juice
4 dashes lemon or orange bitters
12 ounces tonic water
1 teaspoon sugar
ice
Instructions:
Add fresh lemon juice and bitters to cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake until frosty then divide into two champagne flutes.
Top off with tonic water until it reaches about 3/4 of the way up the glass.
Add sugar to taste, up to 1 teaspoon and serve immediately.
