Ana De Armas’ Golden Globes Make-Up by Celebrity Makeup Artist and Armani Beauty Collaborator Melanie Inglessis
“This is Ana’s first Golden Globes attendance and her first nominations for best actress, so we wanted to create a timeless look.
Ana’s old Hollywood-inspired ball gown had a modern twist with the sequins and, with this in mind, I created a modern classic red lip that complimented the midnight blue of the dress whilst keeping her skin luminous and radiant.” – Melanie Inglessis
GET THE LOOK:
COMPLEXION:
To prep the skin, Melanie sprayed Epicuren Protein Mist and let it sink into her skin before applying Epicuren Colostrum Luminous Glow Cream to her face to provide moisturization before beginning on Ana’s makeup.
Moving onto makeup, Melanie started by applying NEW Luminous Silk Primer to give the skin a glowy base before applying foundation.
Melanie says:
“Primer has such a ‘matte’ reputation, which I am normally not a big fan, but this is a game-changer. It gives the skin a radiance that lasts all day, it is the perfect partner for Luminous Silk Foundation.”
Next, Melanie applied Luminous Silk Foundation in 5.5 for luminous, dewy coverage.
To set her foundation, Melanie applied Neo Nude Compact Powder Foundation in 3. After the powder foundation had set, Melanie applied Neo Nude A-Contour in 21 under Ana’s cheekbones to make them pop, and blotted Neo Nude A-Blush in 54 on the apples of her cheeks.
EYES:
Melanie went for a simple, but evocative look for Ana’s eyes.
–For perfectly groomed brows, she used Smooth Silk Brow Pencil in 3. On her lids, Melanie blended 2 different shades of Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadows. First, she used shade 42 on the lids to open the eye and then she added shade 39 along the crease, elongating to the outer corners to make her eyes appear bigger. To complete Ana’s eyes, Melanie lined them with Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in 5 thinly along the lash line and coated her top lashes with Black Ecstasy Mascara.
LIPS:
To prep Ana’s pout, Melanie first layered on a thick coat of Epicuren Anti-Aging Lip Balm to moisturize her lips, wiping off the excess once the balm had a chance to soak in for a while. Next, Melanie lined her lips with Smooth Silk Lip Pencil in 8. When it came to finding the perfect lipstick to complete Ana’s look, Melanie selected Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick in 402—a gorgeous red with blue undertones to compliment Ana’s blue dress.
I think Ana looks fabulous. She is beautiful without being overdone and her makeup has staying power too!
