National Bagel Day is January 15 (tomorrow). The date celebrates a favorite baked breakfast bread. The bagel is the only bread that is boiled before baking and the iconic hole isn’t just for looks. The hole allows vendors to easily remove them from a rod and provides a greater surface area to allow for a chewier crust and even baking. Yum.
