“The Good Place” star, activist and badass babe, Jameela Jamil, teamed up with Zumba Fitness, the world’s largest dance-fitness brand, in LA on Tuesday, February 4 to redefine the word “selfish.” Together, the two joined forces to empower and encourage everyone to “Be SELFish” and take time out of their busy days to focus on self-care — without apologizing for it.
Unfortunately for me, I was unable to attend but the people involved in the event sent me photos and some video to share.

Here’s the video of the Zumba Class:
Zumba, known as “exercise in disguise,” is the world’s largest fitness brand. Zumba is a great form of self-care as it positively impacts people – both physically and emotionally, as it is a great weight loss tool and brings happiness into your life. Games for Health Journal published a study saying Zumba is the number one exercise to transform your anxiety, thanks to the mental focus it takes to perform the Zumba dance moves and how fun it is to do.
I am a big fitness fan. I workout daily! Not only do I walk both my dogs (separately!!!), but I also do another 70-90 minutes of working out. It’s my “ME time” and I don’t feel bad about making the time every single day. I actually love working out (and it’s taken my more than 10 years to get to that point). I mix up my workouts to do many things. I even have Zumba DVDs to use for a workout!!
Take the challenge! BE SELF-ish!
