5 Beef Recipes You Can Cook In Your Instant Pot

Beef brings variety and taste in the menu of people who eat meat, but it’s also rich in nutrients and can be a healthy source of protein. While some people don’t consider red meat to be healthy, nutrition specialists found that, when consumed in moderation, it can be quite a boost for our entire system.

A cut of beef, from an organic source, can provide your organism with L-Carnitine (an important amino acid that regulates the metabolism), healthy doses of glutathione (a powerful antioxidant), and helps improve muscle mass due to its high protein content.

In addition, a delicious cut of beef can turn into a fantastic meal for the entire family! So, if you’re looking for healthy recipes, have a look at the ones we listed below.

1. Mongolian Beef

This is a bit of an exotic dish (especially for people in the western world), so it’s amazing for when you want to impress someone. Even more, it’s easy to cook with an Instant Pot and can be paired with rice, pasta, broccoli, and other starchy side dishes.

The Mongolian beef is a bit on the sweet side due to the dark brown sugar mixed with soy sauce to create a unique and enticing flavor. It also has wonderful notes of ginger and garlic, which is why people who love Chinese food will completely fall in love with it.

Lastly, as you’ll see from the recipe, it doesn’t use fancy ingredients (except maybe for the Hoisin sauce) and it’s not expensive to make. So, whenever you want to get out of the culinary routine, challenge your pressure cooker to a new experience!

2. Beef Bourguignon

If you like savory fall-apart tender beef, then this is the perfect recipe for your pressure cooker! It may be a bit longer than you’re used to when working with an Instant Pot (around 1 hour), but believe me, it’s well worth it. Even more, a traditional beef Bourguignon recipe (cooked on a stove-top) takes about four hours to make, so you’re saving a lot of time and effort.

The recipe originates from Bourgogne, France, a region most people associate with “burgundy” or red wine. As such, it should be no surprise that this dish is focused around beef braised in red wine and combined with various delicious vegetables.

Besides wine, this Instant Pot Beef Bourguignon recipe also requires a special sauce that dresses the meat and brings the entire dish together. The sauce is the reason why you should always serve Beef Bourguignon with a piece of freshly baked bread.

3. Beef and Broccoli

It sounds fancy, but it’s quite easy to make and the taste is absolutely divine! However, it’s important to mention that Beef and Broccoli is traditionally a very sweet dish, so make sure you serve it with Jasmine or brown rice to balance the tastes.

In addition, while this recipe can take more than an hour to cook using traditional methods, in an Instant Pot it usually takes about 12 minutes. So with 10 minutes of preparation, you can feel like you in a fancy restaurant in less than 30 minutes! . And this time is really enough for the beef to reach perfect texture and taste.

Important Tip: Make sure you are cutting the broccoli into big pieces. Otherwise, it would be complete mush.

4. Beef Stew

This is the perfect dish for when it’s cold outside or it’s one of those rainy days that make it seem the sun will never come out again.

A bowl of beef stew combines a wide range of flavors and textures, makes you feel good in your tummy, and warms your heart and soul. It’s also amazing in bringing the family together after a long day of hard work and sends everyone to bed with a smile on their face.

Lastly, this Instant Pot beef stew recipe is easy to make, doesn’t take more than half an hour and doesn’t require any fancy ingredients. If you have the beef, the rest of the ingredients should already be in your pantry. It’s hearty, delicious, and extremely nutritious!

5. Beef Pot Roast!

This is a classic, especially for nations that traditionally appreciate a good piece of beef on the barbeque!

The traditional version of this recipe requires the cook to roast the cut of beef in the oven, but there are times when this is not an option. So, if there’s no oven available or you simply don’t want to heat up the kitchen, you can do a fantastically delicious roast beef in your Instant Pot.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that the recipe works best with a small roast, so the meat can reach that tenderness we all love. Also, it’s best to avoid beef cuts with tough connective tissue as the result won’t be as tender and delicious as you’d expect.

If you follow these tips and this recipe, you’ll see just how easy it is to make in a pressure cooker, and you’ll definitely want to do it again!

In Summary
As you can see, some recipes are a bit fancier than others and may take a bit longer, but the results are absolutely divine! So, if you want to prove your skills as a chef or you want to cook a surprise dinner for your loved ones, any of the recipes above will do.
