How was your Mother’s Day?
What did you do? Did you bring in food? Call your mom or grandmother? How did it feel today to not go see your female relatives today?
My mom had passed away a few years ago. She is missed. I called my Aunt (her sister) a couple of weeks ago and spent an hour plus on the phone with her just catching up. She has 1 daughter and 2 sons- all married and so she was busy with many phone calls! It’s hard for her because she can’t see everyone-especially the ones with new babies.
For me, it was a weird Mother’s Day because it was very cool in the AM and finally started getting sunny about 12:30 PM.
“The Kid” had told me to expect a lot of emails today… I was to expect multiple Hallmark ecards today.(This multiple ecards was a “payback” when I sent my favorite Star Wars ecards to “The Kid” for her birthday!)
Here’s two of them:
I thought this one was cute!
Of course, Disney characters showed up. I LOVE this one. I have always loved most Disney characters and this one fits well.
I know there are others waiting but I can’t find them in my inbox. I am not seeing them at all. When I finally get them, I will share the cover page with you and update this post!
We did celebrate Mothers’ Day with our immediate family ( all 3 of us) doing a BBQ. We had a great meal too!
I would love to hear what you did, what you didn’t do and how you felt at the end of the day!
Happy Mother’s Day1
