Happy National Coffee Day!
I am celebrating the best way I know how– with coffee-based cocktails. You get to choose your favorite coffee to use in these cocktails. Take some time today to mix one up (even if it means you have to reduce the spirits down to a tablespoon, it’s worth the effort!)
I will be making some coffee cocktails tomorrow too with Steeped Coffee, a new-ish brand that has a very interesting presentation and a range of great coffee blends!
Steeped Coffee- five great flavors and each single-serve “coffee-bag” can be brewed hot or can be used for cold brew coffee!

The various blends are:
Yellow packaging – Sunrise Blend (light roast)
Red packaging- California Blend (medium roast)
Blue packaging- Odyssey Blend (dark roast)
Orange packaging – Eventide Blend (decaf)
Green packaging – Driftwood Blend ( extra dark roast)
Ruth Chris Coffee Cocktail!
This cocktail sounds dreamy. You can use your choice of coffee type but I think if you are using 3 different spirits in this cocktail, a full-bodied dark roast would be a good one.
Cinnamon Whiskey Coffee Cocktail
Ingredients:
1 oz cinnamon whiskey ( I like Jack Daniels FIRE (cinnamon) Whiskey for this cocktail)
6 oz cold brew STEEPED COFFEE
(because a cinnamon whiskey is part of the recipe, you need a dark roast coffee for this cocktail!)
2 oz milk
Method:
Add whiskey, cold brew coffee, and milk into a glass full of ice.
Stir and Enjoy!
Note:
If you want a frothy creamy topping for this cinnamon coffee cocktail, I would suggest whipping up some milk or whipped cream (buy a can) and using that to top the cocktail and sprinkle with cinnamon on top.
Hot White Russian Cocktail

Ingredients:
Steeped Coffee – your choice of blend;
Kahlua
Vodka
(Your choice of vodka. Personally, I am a Van Gogh fan, but others like Grey Goose or Tito’s!)
Warm cream
Method:
1)Make yourself a cup of hot STEEPED COFFEE
(Use your choice of roast. There are several to choose from!)
2)Toss in a shot of Kahlua,
3) Half shot of Vodka
4) Drizzle in some warm cream,
Give it a stir, sit back, and enjoy.
