Test Drive These Cocktail Recipes from Casamigos Tequila for Halloween + Dia de Los Muertos!

It’s almost Halloween and after October 31, it’s Dia de Los Muertos— Day of the Dead!  Particularly in California, this holiday is as meaningful as Halloween for a lot of the population.  Casamigos Tequila has provided me with  4 great recipes– all that reflect not only Halloween but primarily Dia de Los Muertos. Check out the recipes and pick what you think will make a great cocktail.  While it might be hard to choose one, maybe choose one for Halloween and one for Dia de Los Muertos! You won’t go wrong with any of these cocktails. These cocktail recipes are really special. Not only are they tasty, but some also have really unique ingredients!

 

CASA DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

 

Ingredients:

.75 oz. Casamigos Mezcal

.75 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila

1 oz. Blood Orange Juice
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

.5 oz. Simple Syrup
1 Pinch Cinnamon
Garnish Dehydrated Blood Orange Wheel, 2 Edible Flowers and Sage Leaf

Method:
Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker.
Add ice, shake vigorously, and strain into skull mug or rocks glass.
Add fresh ice, top off with pebble ice and garnish.

 

SMOKY HALLOWEEN COLADA

Ingredients

2 oz. Casamigos Mezcal

.75 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

.75 oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice

.75 oz. Coconut Puree by REAL

.25 oz. Ginger Syrup by Liber & Co.

.5 oz. Grenadine

½ Thick Rim Equal Parts Sugar/Black Lava Salt

Method:
Wet ½ rim of the glass with a lime wedge or wheel and dip into sugar/black lava salt mixture.
Pour .5 oz grenadine directly into clear Tiki or hurricane glass.
Combine the rest of the ingredients into a tin shaker.
Add ice, shake vigorously, and strain into clear Tiki glass or hurricane glass.
Add pebble ice, and fill to top creating a dome-like top, then garnish.

 

CASA TEAL CANDY MARTINI



Ingredients

2 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila

1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

1 oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice

.5 oz. Blue Curacao by Kavlana

.25 oz. Simple Syrup

Method:
Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker.
Add ice, shake vigorously, and strain into a martini glass.
2 butterfly pea ice cubes and garnish.

Butterfly Pea Ice Cubes:

1) Bring 4.5 cups of water to a boil in a medium-sized pot.
2) Then, put on simmer,
3) Add ½ cup of dried butterfly pea leaves and let steep for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4) Fine strain contents into another medium-sized pot, pressing down on the leaves to extract all the liquid and let cool.
5) Once cool, pour into a glass container with lid and store in the refrigerator.
Good for 2-3 weeks.

 

 

Casa Crawler

 

Ingredients:

2 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila

1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

1 oz. Blueberry Puree by REAL

8-10 Mint Leaves

Method:
Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker.
Add ice, shake vigorously, and fine strain into Collins glass.
Add ice and garnish with a mint sprig and 3-4 sour gummy worms.

 

 

All of these  Casamigos cocktails are worth mixing up. Each cocktail has a unique flavor profile!
