Dula Lipa and Miley Cyrus Drop a Video Collaboration — and It SMOKES! Check Out “Prisoner!”

Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa did a collaboration on Miley’s new album. The album is called PLASTIC HEARTS and the specific song that is the collaboration is called PRISONER.

Miley Cyrus & Dua Lipa in ‘Prisoner’ video

The theme of the video features Dua Lipa driving a tour bus with Miley beside her. They have left a location and have several other people at the back of the bus. One “extra” takes over driving and you see Miley and Dua Lipa dancing together looking very sexy but also dripping a lot of what looks to be blood– but it’s not blood. There is one scene where Miley is pouring red stuff that turns out to be cherries from a jar into her mouth at #mark 1:33. They are all changing outfits and sporting fishnets and the cuts in the video back and forth show some very sexy dancing along with a lot of red goo all over. (The only person who doesn’t wind up with a lot of cherry goo all over is Dua Lipa!) They do end up pulling up to a club and going into the club to perform on stage. When the performance is over, they “leave” but there is one woman who truly ends up closing the song and it’s not Dua Lipa or Miley Cyrus. There is not music in the background and that’s how the video ends. It’s a bit of an odd ending.

The video editing is choppy to go with the song and the various moves make you want to watch the video over and over. Lots of great music and the lyrics are all about being a prisoner because she wants to go (whomever SHE is –which is played by both Miley and Dua Lipa!)

Bottom Line:
The song’s beat is great. the arrangement is peppy and addictive – meaning you want to play it many times.
Ok maybe you don’t want to play it a lot but I DO!. I love Dua Lipa (I am a big fan of hers) and this is one of the few songs from Miley Cyrus that I like.

Check out the video. I think you will like it.
