From my good friend, DB Leighton, here is another poem. I LOVE this one. It’s definitely one relevant poem.. given the current
climate of Covid 19 and quarantine.. and yet it fits many other situations and “times” of our lives when things either move far too quickly or is moving as slow as molasses in January.
Nothing But Time

It’s somewhere past midnight
in this land of the rhyme,
it’s just me and my whiskey,
we got nothing but time.
With bated breath we count hours,
seconds bleed into weeks.
There’s no concept of anything,
when there’s anything we seek.
The clocks keep their distance,
hands that turned on a dime.
They’ve slowed down their tempo,
we got nothing but time.
