Make Sure National Beer Day -April 7- Is on Your Calendar + Try Partake’s Range of Beers!

If you’re a craft beer lover, then National Beer Day (April 7)  should be on your calendar. For those seeking exceptional flavor, high-quality ingredients, and variety, Partake is the brew for you. It also happens to be a non-alcoholic beer (NAB). Don’t worry, this beer isn’t lacking in anything.

On top of being only 10-30 calories a can, PARTAKE is available at  DTC  where you can see the information about this very unique beer brand and how the brand managed to remove the alcohol but still maintain the flavors of the various styles of PARTAKE Beer!  This brand has “nailed” the ability to provide craft beer lovers with the same tastes of their favorite beer varietal and do it without alcohol. Think about having a couple of PARTAKE beers at launch when you are working… it makes for a great meal and you still are able to be functioning at 100% because your beverage was alcohol-free! And if you have a party or a BBQ, your friends will be able to enjoy your event, the food and still be able to drive safely home.

Disclosure:
I was offered the opportunity to try PARTAKE Beers. Partake sent us one of each flavor of the Partake beer flavors for my “craft beer aficionado” husband and me to try.
I couldn’t honestly tell you about how a beer tastes if I haven’t tried it.   Ditto with my husband. He is the first one to complain if a beer or any wine or spirit doesn’t live up to the expectation.  Having the samples means that I have the opportunity to try these beers and give you our honest opinion. Of course, my husband’s opinion would be different than mine.

Here are the different varieties of PARTAKE beers!

  • Pale (10 calories, 0 carbs) – With a medium bitterness balanced by a caramel malt sweetness and perfumey, tropical aromatics
  • IPA (10 calories, 2 carbs) – Balances citrusy hops with a sweet malt backbone. Its light and bubbly body and dry finish make it an all-day sipper
  • Blonde (15 calories, 3 carbs) – Golden, bubbly and easy-drinking, this malt-forward ale has a fuller body and balanced flavour profile
  • Red (25 calories, 3 carbs) – Crafted with 5 malts, Partake Red is smooth and soft with ribbons of caramel malt and toast
  • Stout (30 calories, 8 carbs) – Pouring a deep brown with warm, walnut highlights topped by a tall, tan cap of foam, the medium-light, bubbly body boasts notes of coffee, smoke and a long, dry cacao-nib note in the finish.

When I heard about Partake, I was interested to see just how good a non-alcoholic beer would taste.  Both  my husband  and I had never seen a non-alcoholic beer that came in different presentations (flavors) the way that Partake has done. Innovation in the beer sector is clearly what the brand is shooting for and it got my attention. I am sure for those who don’t drink alcoholic beverages, this is a real game-changer brand. I also know for those who want to have a flavorful beverage but can’t consumer alcohol for whatever reason, Partake is a great option for them.

Here are people who would fit into that category:

–people who have a medical condition that prevents them from drinking alcohol including pregnant women, people on medication which requires them not to drink,
–anyone who will be driving after imbibing the beverage;
— people who are in the midst of their work day ;
— people who don’t really like how they feel when they are drinking alcohol
— people who  want to have light beverages that have great flavor profiles– and Partakes Craft Beers do have an array of great flavors!

Review:

I am not much of a beer drinker,  but  I do know what each type of beer should taste like.  My husband and I opened up some cans and started pouring the different flavors into glasses (separate glasses for each flavor so that we didn’t mix up the flavors.)
We had crackers between the various brews we tasted to clear our palate.

HIS REVIEW:

He liked all the beers, but liked some more than others.
Pale was pretty good,  but he doesn’t like pale ales as much as he likes other flavors.
Blonde is one of his favorite beer presentations and he liked this one  because it would be a beer that he would sip if he were in a situation  when he had to be alcohol-free.
IPA is his most favorite beer that he tends to order when we are out and about. He really liked this IPA.
–The Red was a surprise to him that he liked it.  Usually he doesn’t drink red beers, but he would try it with a meal that he felt would pair up well.
Stout is not his favorite beer and while he said this Stout was ok, it was not what he would buy. It’s just not his style of beer.

MY Review:

(Please remember that I am not much of a beer drinker. It’s not my beverage of choice. But as a person who has reviewed other spirits  wine and other beers, I am pretty fair in my flavor tests).

–For me Pale was ok. I wouldn’t order it because  bitterness isn’t what I like about beer. I think if I added a squeeze of some fruit (orange or lemon) I might find I like it a lot more. ( I didn’t have any citrus fruit to be able to test drive that idea)
IPA, IPAs are not my favorite brew.  While I can sip it for a bit, I will never finish an IPA.  Partake’s version was as good as any I have tasted.
Blonde is more my speed and I liked this one. I liked the balance and the longer I sipped it, the better it tasted. It’s great to have with some sort of crisp crackers too.
Red was something new to me. I have never had a red beer before.  The Red Beer had a different feel on my tongue and didn’t feel as rough as some beers. I might try this one again with a  meal or snacks that would pair well with this beer .
Stout: I had an idea about how I would like (or not) the Stout. I don’t like thick beers and to me, Stout is thick. This was was surprising and so I kept trying it in tiny sips. I am not sure I would want to buy a 6 pack of this flavor, but I might split a can with someone.

Overall, my husband liked the beers. He thought it was a good idea if you really wanted to have the beer experience without a lot of alcohol involved. He did say it would not replace the typical beers that have alcohol. However, he  would buy them for a party or BBQ or even just to have something with more body than a soda.

On my end, I would pour a small amount of my husband’s PARTAKE (if he was drinking it) and sip it on my own (providing he had a flavor that I wanted to drink). I would not drink an entire can, because I prefer to drink other things.  However, if I  had some good food that paired well with a couple of these flavors, I would drink PARTAKE!

Thank you to PARTAKE for sending me samples to try. I would never have thought I would drink any of these beers, but I would for the right event- and with the right Partake beer for me!
