All aboard! Tonight, Oscars’ excitement is focused on an unusual locale: Union Station Los Angeles, where the awards ceremony will be taking place after a two-month delay. And when Best Actor presenter Renée Zellweger takes the stage, viewers will inevitably have a one-track mind, wondering how her skin looks so radiant. Turns out that the tool behind her glow is a feat of engineering!
Makeup artist Dana Michelle Hamel, who prepped Zellweger for tonight’s ceremony, shared her secret:
“The Pause Fascia Stimulating Tool is a facial treatment that is in a class of its own,” raves Hamel. “It’s an FDA-cleared Class 1 medical device,” she explains, “engineered to stimulate fibroblasts, which are collagen-producing cells within the fascia connective tissue.”
To prep Renée’s skin for tonight’s big event, Hamel used the Pause Tool along with La Mer skincare products to “help hydration, improve blood flow, support cell turnover, remove waste, boost collagen production, and optimize overall skin nutrition.”
Hamel first applied La Mer moisturizing cream to Zellweger’s face and neck for hydration and to provide a smooth glide with the Pause Tool. “With light pressure, I used a combination of long, slow strokes and fast, short, strokes in a multiple of directions to help stimulate blood flow.” Hamel finished the treatment with La Mer Concentrate, Treatment Lotion, and Lip Volumizer. “The whole treatment takes approximately five minutes—and it’s the best five minutes you’ll ever give your skin!” says Hamel. Sounds like the express train to stunning skin is now leaving the station.

Skincare and Makeup Preparation!
Beauty Breakdown thanks to Makeup artist Dana Michelle Hamel!
To prep the skin I mix a drop of the Armani Luminous Silk Hydrating Primer into the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, this helps to create a dewy, fresh look.
It’s important to match the skin’s natural tone so I mixed Luminous Silk Foundation in shades 4.5 and 5.75 and massaged it gently into the skin with a foundation brush to create a flawless complexion. Don’t forget to blend onto the neck and chest.
I blended the Luminous Silk Concealer under the eye and then used it to highlight her cheekbones.
I used Luminous Silk Concealer ##6.5 as a subtle contour for the nose, cheek, and jawline.
For a soft, natural flush of color, I swiped a touch of Armani Fluid Sheer Glow Enhancer #8 across her cheeks.
I set the complexion for a long-wear finish with Armani Luminous Silk Glow Infusion Powder in #3
I sculpted the brows using Armani Smooth Silk Brow Pencil in #1. It’s a beautiful taupe color, perfect for blondes.
I used Eyes to kill Designer Eyeliner in a tight line right at the base of the lashes followed by Eyes to Kill Lacquered Eyeliner drawn thicker in the middle to the end and winged out.
Eye Tint #24 was lightly applied on the iid with a pop of Eye Tint #45 at the corner of the eyes.
GOSSAMER LASHES USED:
-Amplify Gossamer A12 on the inside corners of the eyes
-Curl Gossamer C12 in the middle of the lash line
-Curl Gossamer C14 in the outer corners
-Stack with Royal Blue Gossamer C16 in the middle and outer corner for a pop of color and to enhance the beautiful baby blues
Finish off the look with Armani #4 Lip Liner. Line the lips then blend the liner to fully cover the lips, apply a light coat of Armani Lip Maestro #202 to create a beautiful, natural-looking lip color.
Skin prep:
–Pause fascia stimulating tool to produce collagen
–La Mer’s hydrating treatment lotion to prep the skin
–La Mer Concentrate serum. This serum acts as a barrier to protect the skin
–La Mer’s infamous moisture creme with the legendary Miracle Broth for the ultimate hydration. Use this on face, neck, décolleté, and hands.
