Welcome to the last day of the Fourth of July holiday. The cocktails I am featuring here today .. are a mix of cocktails that I have tried and some that my friends have tried.. and some are brand new to me!
Sparkling Shed Berry
(Recipe courtesy of Broken Shed Vodka from New Zealand!)
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Broken Shed Vodka
Splash of cranberry juice
Fresh seasonal berries
Club soda
Method:
Add all ingredients to a rocks glass,
Top up with club soda.
Serve over ice garnished with berries.
Here are two amazing cocktails for you to test drive from a Bachelorette Season Ending.
La Vie en Rose
Ingredients:
1 1/2 parts elit by Stolichnaya
3/4 part Lemon Juice
3/4 part Crème de Rose Liqueur
1/2 part Simple Syrup
Method:
Shake the elit, lemon juice and simple syrup with cracked ice and strain into a double rocks glass.
Top with crushed ice and gently float crème de rose on top.
The Crooner

Ingredients:
.75 oz. Frangelico
1.5 oz. Rum (Appleton)
1 tbsp. Cherry jam
.75 oz. Lime
3 dashes Tiki Bitters
1 egg white (optional)
Method:
Dry shake, then shake once more with ice.
Strain. Garnish with a brandied cherry.
Switching gears to mojitos!!
Here’s a twist on a mojito featuring a new liqueur and also a brand of rum made out of Panama. Fairly new to the US, Ron Abuelo Rum is 75 years old– so it’s quality. The parent company, Varela Hermanos, is over 100 years old. The Mariposa Agave Nectar liqueur is distinctive and tasty!!
Mariposa Mojito
Ingredients:
1 oz. Mariposa Agave Nectar Liqueur
1 oz. Ron Abuelo Rum— 7 Anos
0.5 oz. Lemon Juice
0.5 oz. Lime Juice
2 sprigs of Mint
4 oz. Soda Water
Method:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
Pour into Collins glass over fresh ice and top with soda water.
