I love mixing up cocktails. It’s fun and you can create some really amazing sips. One of my favorite things is to try different spirits. I remember going to dinner and ordering a Cosmopolitan and asking them to substitute gin instead of vodka. Once I tasted this new version of a Cosmo, I loved it.
Today I am sharing a new spirit for you to test drive when making any of your favorite cocktails including Pina Colada, Old Fashion most people think about rum as the key ingredient. Guess what I found out, that the earliest versions of a Pina Colada were made with BRANDY.
In the spirit of trying new ways to spice up summer cocktails, you should try ARGONAUT Brandy!

Pina Colada
This Pina Colada recipe features Argonaut Brandy
Ingredients
2 oz. Argonaut Speculator Brandy
½ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
2 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 oz. Coconut Cream
1 oz. Coconut Milk⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Method:
Add ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker.
Shake vigorously until chilled.
Strain into a glass filled with crushed iced,
Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
California Old Fashioned
Ingredients:
2 oz. Argonaut Speculator Brandy
¼ oz. Simple Syrup
2-3 dashes of Aromatic Bitters
Garnish: Expressed Orange peel w/ an Argonaut Brandied Cherry
Method:
Add ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice and stir together to combine/chill.
Strain into a double old-fashioned rocks glass filled with rock ice.
Express the oils of an orange peel over the glass, rubbing the peel around the rim.
Add peel into the cocktail along with a brandied cherry.
Daiquiri
Ingredients:
2 oz. Argonaut Speculator Brandy
¾ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
½ oz. Simple Syrup
Method:
Add ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice,
Shake together to combine/chill.
Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe,
Garnish with a lime wedge.
Gold Rush
Ingredients:
2 oz. Argonaut Fat Thumb Brandy
.75 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
.75 oz. Honey Syrup*
Method:
Measure out all ingredients in a glass and stir to combine.
*Honey Syrup – take two parts raw honey and 1 part warm water.
Stir to combine
