I have known Jay Nash for a long time. I have just about every album he has done. I carry them in my car so that I can listen to his great music.
Lucky for you and me, Nash and Contender’s partner Josh Day are going to be doing a LIVE STREAM CONCERT on Facebook today.
It starts at 9 PM EDT (6 PM PDT)!
I am sharing with you the news blast I got from Jay Nash and providing you with all the details PLUS the names of the various albums he has done relatively recently. Jay’s events are always great. Mostly I have seen him in person when at the Hotel Cafe and other locations dating back about 10 years ago. (His music is fabulous). The Contenders (Josh Day and Jay Nash) is so dynamic and fun. I can’t stop listening to it on Spotify, other platforms and in my car!
I am sharing the details Jay sent around so that you can get in on this FREE Concert and it will be taped too so that you can see it later on! Josh and Jay are so dynamic together– and their music is full of energy and emotions!

Howdy Folks!
I hope you’re having a great weekend. In case you missed it, we made the decision to postpone our two shows in Michigan this weekend to April. It was a tough call for us to make, but in the end, we feel that it was the best one for everyone involved. We cannot wait to make up for lost time in Lake Orion and Spring Lake in the Spring!
Since we find ourselves with a little extra time on our hands, we are going to be putting on a Live Stream concert tonight (Monday, October 25) at 9 pm EDT on Facebook. As with all of the Monday Nights Live Concerts, it’s a free show and we will be recording it, but you can contribute to the tip jar (PayPal or Venmo) which we will be sharing with the Vermont Food Bank this time around. There will be a JN solo acoustic set along with some conversation and musical collaboration with Josh Day. Join us!
Next weekend, we will finally be returning to Josh Day’s beloved hometown of Wilkesboro, North Carolina for two nights at our dear friend’s Heart of Folk’s new OUTDOOR venue, The Gardens at 1915. Friday, October 29th will be an ‘Evening with The Contenders’ featuring a retrospective of our catalogue of songs, old and new. Saturday, October 30 , (The Contenders and Friends) promises to be an epic musical gathering as we will be joined by fiddle player Samantha Snyder, The Kruger Brothers, and bassist Billy Gee. Weather permitting, these performances will be held outside in the beautiful new Gardens at 1915, where masks will be optional. In the event that weather does not cooperate, the shows will inside at the 1915, where masks will be required for the safety and comfort of everyone. (Except while actively eating or drinking)
We’ve added one last show to our calendar. I know that it’s short notice…but if you are in the greater Atlanta area, we are coming your way!
