Some of the best country stars graced the red carpet on 11/10 at the 55th annual CMA Awards in Nashville, bringing together fans and artists all around the world! While music is the main reason for celebrating, seeing the looks sported by all the stars are why so many tune in to this honky-tonk event. Fashion is at the forefront; but it’s really the hairstyles that make or break the look. The hairstylist behind all these great hairstyles on these celebrities is Carly Bethel, a nationally renowned hairstylist, who is also opening Vol. II Hair Studio in Nashville, Tennessee in 2022.

Blending upscale flair with Southern glamour, Carly has traveled the world styling celebrities and now she’s sharing her secrets with you! Prep the hair with Oribe thickening spray and blow dry smooth using the Dyson blow dryer and GHD round brush.

Add JZ Styles hair extension clip-ins for fullness and extra length then pull hair back into desired ponytail placement and secure with a bungee band.

Create curls using GHD 1.25” curling iron. Spray Amika Intense Hold hair spray and let the curls cool.

Brush the ponytail curls out and spray with Moroccan oil texture spray.

Finish by smoothing all flyaways with OUAI pomade.

Create a deep side part and use Kérastase gel to comb the front hairline into place.

Using Moroccanoil flat iron, create a uniform wave.

Secure the waves with Amika Strong Hold hair spray.

Spray Oribe Shine Spray for extra shine.
Cassie Kelley with voluminous mid ponytail:

Smooth hair using the Dyson blow dryer and Ibiza round brush.

Add JZ Styles clip-in hair extensions and pull hair into desired ponytail placement using a bungee band.

Create curls using GHD 1” curling iron.

Spray Colo Wow flexible hairspray for hold.

Wrap a small piece of hair around the ponytail band and secure with small bobby pins then spray with strong-hold hairspray.

Finish the look with Moroccanoil texture spray added to the pony!
