Let’s add some SPARKLE to Christmas Eve and Christmas with Vamonos Riendo
Vamonos Riendo is an artisanal mezcal that brings together ancient techniques and artistry from multiple Oaxacan communities, to create an extraordinary handcrafted spirit. Vamanos Riendo is a bit different from your usual Mezcal. Vamonos Riendo has a personality of its own! Once you experience the aroma of fresh fruit, honey and herbal ingredients you will want to have a sip. Breathe in the fragrance of those ingredients again and you will notice the smoky flavor and scent from black oak. Have a sip and the flavors will become more evident! Taste the medley of melon, pineapple, grapefruit, and mandarin balanced by the sweetness of cocoa with notes of mint and anise. Vamanos Riendo has an amazing finish that is a velvety smooth caramel with a tantalizing citrus bite that lingers.
Here are 5 cocktails created by 5 different mixologists who have tons of experience. Each of the 5 cocktails will reveal not only the personality of Vamonos Riendo but it will tell you a lot about the mixologist who created it!
Strawberry Kisses Cocktail

Ingredients:

1.25 oz Vamonos Riendo Mezcal
-
0.5 oz Green Chartreuse
-
0.25 oz Small Hands Orgeat
-
0.5 oz Aperol
-
0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
-
2-3 Fresh Strawberries (plus one half for garnish)
Method:
Rim your glass with sour sugar (combine granulated sugar with citric acid powder and stir well),
Then muddle strawberries in a tin (or bowl), add ingredients and shake with ice.
Double strain into a sour sugar-rimmed cocktail glass.
Garnish with half a strawberry.
Amor In Manhattan

Ingredients:
Ingredients:1.5 oz Vamonos Riendo Mezcal
0.75 oz Amaro Montenegro
0.25 oz Clement Créole Shrub
3 dashes Bittermans Mole Bitters
Orange Twist
Clove
Method:
Combine ingredients into mixing glass, stir, serve up.
Garnish with a trimmed orange twist and smoking clove
Passionate Margarita

Ingredients:
2 oz. Vamonos Riendo
2 oz. passion fruit
1 oz honey
1 strawberry
Method:
Cut passionfruit in half and extract the fruit,
Put fruit into a blender at low speed to keep seeds intact.
Strain and add to a shaker filled with ice
Add Vamonos Riendo Mezcal and honey
Shake and pour into glass with ice
Garnish with flowers or whatever you prefer!
Ultra Violet Sour

Ingredients:
2 oz Vamonos Reiendo Mezcal
.75 oz Lime
.5 oz Parfait Amour
.5 oz Simple Syrup
Egg White
3 dashes Absinthe
Orange Twist
Method:
Shake with ice,
Strain into a coupe.
Garnish with an orange twist.
The Happy Bandera

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Vamonos Riendo Mezcal
1.5 oz RSTJ reduction (Rhubarbstrawberry-tomato-jalapeno-lemon zest reduction)
0.75 oz lime
1 oz sparkling water
Grapefruit Twist
–
RSTJ reduction
2 cups sliced and cleaned
strawberries
2 cups quartered roma tomatoes
2 cups sliced jalapeños
2 cups sliced rhubarb
Zest of two lemons
2 qts sugar
1 qt water
2 pinches of salt
Shake with ice and strain into
a collins glass. Garnish with a
grapefruit twist.
For the RSTJ reduction: (Yields: 2 qts RTSJ reduction)
Mix and add all ingredients to a double boiler.
Cover and cook for 30 mins.
Add everything to a blender and blend for 2 minutes.
Strain off using a chinois.
Bottle, label and refrigerate
