SuperBowl LVI Had a Winner with Mary J. Blige in the Half Time Show!
The Queen of R&B, Mary J. Blige recently rocked the Super Bowl Halftime stage with performances of “No More Drama” and “Family Affair.” She killed it!
However, her silver metallic ensemble by Dundas and gorgeous, long, blonde locks stole the show! Her outfit and her hair were the “next to the most” memorable part of her performance.
(Her singing took the cake!)
Celebrity hairstylist Tym Wallace, who achieved her soft, cascading curls using products from Carol’s Daughter, TRESemmé and Tangle Teezer stated, “My inspiration for Mary J. Blige’s Super Bowl look was ghetto fabulous Rockstar…”
For a story on how to achieve MJB’s signature Superbowl look, I am sharing step-by-step details from Wallace:

To achieve the look, I started off by prepping the hair using Carol’s Daughter Goddess Strength Shampoo ($10.99) to thoroughly cleanse the hair
followed by the Carol’s Daughter Cocoon Mask ($11.99) to repair and strengthen the hair in preparation for styling.
After rinsing, I took a quarter-size pump of Carol’s Daughter Goddess Strength Divine Strength Leave-In Cream ($11.99)
and brushed through with Tangle Teezer’s The Ultimate Detangler($14) brush to evenly distribute the treatment through the wet hair while gently detangling.
To begin styling, I applied the TRESemmé One Step Texture 5-in-1 Texturizing Mist to the hair. After that, I sprayed the hair section by section with the TRESemmé Total Volume Hairspray and used a 1 1/2 inch flat iron and marcel curling iron alternating waves. Once set and cooled off, I used my fingers to break up the waves.
I then sprayed the TRESemmé Total Volume Hairspray. Next, I used Tangle Teezer’s The Ultimate Finisher ($18) brush which has soft tips that glide through the hair to create major volume, texture, and shine. I finished the look by spraying TRESemmé One Step Texture 5-in-1 Texturizing Mist in my hands and created a little piece-y-like texture.
