Stargazers are in for a treat this month with not one, but two astronomical phenomena as the Full Pink Moon takes place this Saturday, 4/16, followed by the Lyrid Meteor Shower on Friday, 4/22.
Both once-a-year events, the Lyrid Meteor Shower kicks off meteor shower season, while the Full Pink Moon serves a much more spiritual purpose, signifying the new beginnings, rebirth, and renewal associated with Spring.
For out-of-this-world viewing, Hendrick’s Gin Ambassador Erik Andersson created two cocktails inspired by the re-emergence of glitter cocktails and resembling each of these celestial events to get you in the cosmic spirit as you look up into the sky with a Hendricks GIN cocktail in hand.

For The Pink Full Moon: Pink City Moon
This cocktail looks and sounds amazing! I can’t wait to try this one!
Ingredients:
- 2 parts Hendrick’s Gin
- ½ part Rose Syrup
- ½ part Lemon Juice
- 1½ part Cranberry Juice
- Edible glitter
Method:
–Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake well for about 45 seconds.
–Add in ice and shake again for about 30 seconds
–Strain into coupe and garnish with edible glitter
For the Lyrid Meteor Shower: Starlight 75
Ingredients:
- 1 part Hendrick’s Gin
- ½ part Lemon Juice
- ½ part Simple Syrup
- Champagne
- Edible glitter
Method:
–Add all the ingredients except the champagne into a shaker
— Shake well for about 45 seconds,
— Add ice to the shaker and shake for 30 seconds
–Strain the cocktail and pour the cocktail into a tall glass with ice,
–Float the champagne on top of the cocktail
–Add a lemon peel as garnish.
