The perfect Cinco De Mayo cocktail is inspired by the Margarita.

–The clarified apple syrup compliments the mesquite-smoked Bacanora and is balanced out by the citric, malic, and tartaric acid tincture. –This is the perfect way to enjoy a new take on the margarita for your holiday celebrations!
IZO’s El Caballo Blanco

Ingredients:
- 2oz Izo Bacanora
- .5oz Clarified Apple Syrup*
- 2 Dashes Citric, Malic, & Tartaric Acid tincture
Method:
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass, stir, and pour over a large rock.
Garnish with an expressed orange peel and sal de gusano.
Clarified Apple Syrup directions:
*Juice apples and then drip filter through a coffee filter.
Cut the clarified juice in equal parts by weight with sugar.
About Sal de Gusano :
- Sal de Gusano literally translates to “salt made of worms”. It is made from dry chiles, sea salt, and dried “worms”. Ironically, the Gusano used to make the salt isn’t a worm but moth larvae.
