Memorial Day weekend is coming up FAST!!!
This is the first of a few posts featuring cocktail recipes that you might want to try!
Spirits featured today: Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum and Fistful of Bourbon!
Named for pioneering American tattoo artist and Navy veteran Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum is a Caribbean Rum blended and bottled in the USA with 100% natural spices and flavors.
The 92 proof (46% ABV) rum, which follows the old tradition of sailors smoothing out their high-proof rum with spices, is an ideal liquor for those who enjoy bold and smooth flavors.
Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum fits well in cocktail recipes or can be sipped on its own where its warm notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla shine.

Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
This cocktail is easy to mix up and it will be a fun holiday weekend cocktail!
Don’t Tread on Jerry
Ingredients:
-
3 dashes Bitters
-
2 parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
- Top with sarsaparilla or root beer
Method:
Build cocktail in Collins glass over ice,
Stirring until mixed well.
Garnish with lime wedge.
Backyard Tea
This will be a simple cocktail to put together.
You could try other teas other than black tea!
Ingredients:

2 parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
-
3 parts black tea
-
1 part fresh lemonade
Method:
Build all ingredients in a rock-filed highball glass.
Garnish with a lemon wedge
Fistful of Bourbon
Fistful Pops

Ingredients:

Strawberry Top
-
2 cup Diced Strawberries
-
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
-
½ cup Greek yogurt
-
-
Colada Center
-
1 ½ cups of fresh pineapple cubes
-
1 cup unsweetened coconut cream
-
¼ cup granulated sugar
-
1 part Fistful of Bourbon
-
1 ½ Teaspoons Fresh lime Juice
-
¼ Teaspoon kosher salt
-
-
Blueberry Base
-
2 cups Blueberries
-
1/4 cup Granulated sugar
-
½ cup Greek Yogurt
Method: Makes 12 popsicles.
For each flavor section, add all ingredients in a blender & puree.
Fill popsicle molds ¼ full with strawberry blend and freeze for 1 hour.
Take colada mix and fill popsicle molds ¾ full and freeze for 1 hour.
Add the blueberry mix and insert popsicle.
Bourbon Peach Tea
This cocktail will make a great cocktail and it takes very little preparation!
Ingredients:

1.5 parts Fistful of Bourbon
-
4 parts peach iced tea
-
2 dashes of aromatic bitters
-
Glass- highball
-
Garnish – peach slice/mint sprig
Method:
Add all ingredients in a highball glass with ice and garnish
