The Fourth of July is the best summer holiday that brings the whole neighborhood together. So, whether you’re hosting a party, a BBQ, or spending the holiday alone and aren’t sure what celebratory drink to provide, wine experts Philippe Vasilescu and Matthieu Yamoum, the founders of Maison MURA, have you covered. They put together a list of their top recommended American wines for the upcoming holiday!

The Mirabelle Brut Rosé is a crafted blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Schramsberg vineyards in the Napa-Carneros, Sonoma Coast, Anderson Valley, and Marin County areas of California’s North Coast. The multi-vintage Mirabelle Rosé is delicious on its own. Still, it also pairs well with everything from grilled salmon, BBQ pork ribs, Caprese salad, classic Hawaiian pizza, or simple plates of pasta.
This Edition Rose is made entirely from Dundee Hills Estate Pinot Noir. It is a favorite spring and summer wine for many as it has hints of zested lime and red cherries and aromas of apricot, candied peach, and ripe cantaloupe. This silky rosé pairs well with anything from grilled shrimp, pork, and vegetables.
This Oregon Chardonnay wine has vivid flavors and a long finish of lemon zest, yellow apple, and saline. It is the perfect mix of not too dry and not too fruity. Moreover, it pairs well with grilled pork, fish, vegetables, and poultry.
This medium to total-bodied red wine is perfect for our meat lovers! This Pinot Noir pairs well with beef, veal, deer, and poultry with hints of red fruits, oaky notes, and earthy notes. It truly is a superb American pinot noir.
Teeter-Totter, Cabernet Sauvignon
The Napa Valley Cabernet is bold, thick red with oaky, earthy, and black fruit notes. This dense red wine is a favorite amongst many! Especially for summer nights with friends and family. This cabernet pairs well with beef, lamb, deer, a cheese platter of mature and hard cheese, and poultry.
Dalla Gasperina, Sauvignon Blanc,
Located on Galleron Road at the northern end of Rutherford, this organic vineyard produces wines of great character and depth. We’ve been producing sauvignon blanc from this vineyard since 2014 and are just hitting our stride with it. Our style is more
French-influenced with softer tropicals and richness.
Our 2020 Sauvignon Blanc is light gold in the glass with notes of white peaches, orange blossoms, and apricots.
Soft citrus notes, mango, and papaya followed by hints of minerality. The wine is full-bodied and finishes long.
Pairing suggestion: seared scallops or Dungeness crab.

Maison Mura, downtown Miami’s upcoming sophisticated venue for wine and spirits, is slated to open in Fall 2022 at 333 SE 3rd Avenue.
Maison MURA will serve and offer for sale an extensive selection of premium wine and spirits, as well as a refined food menu, all carefully curated by owners and long-time friends Matthieu Yamoum, the former Wine Director of New York’s Baccarat Hotel, and Philippe Vasilescu, the former Brand Ambassador for the prestigious LOUIS XIII Cognac de Remy Martin. Both share extensive and complementary experiences in the fine wine and spirits industry and have been working for over 2 years on this project to bring this bespoke experience to Miami.

ABOUT MATTHIEU YAMOUM:
Matthieu Yamoum’s love for wine began in his childhood city Reims, located in the Champagne region of France. Today his experience spans almost fifteen years
within the hospitality industry forging strong relationships with winemakers, hotel and restaurant executives, and avid wine collectors that share a deep passion
for fine wine and champagne. Yamoum was formerly the Wine Director of Baccarat Hotel New York and in October 2020, he released the champagne Cuvée
“Essentiel By” in partnership with eponymous house Piper-Heidsieck. He also launched his own Champagne brand in January 2021 called HRLM Champagne.
He is also the co-founder and wine director of Finest + Bond, an event planning and consulting company offering bespoke services for private clients and F&B professionals.
