Celebrate National Tequila Day, with a Fresh Agave Margarita –-Non-alcoholic or Alcoholic
(It’s Your Choice!!)
Adapted from a Classic Recipe and the suggested Tequila is Prospero Tequila!
Ingredients:
3 oz Fresh Victor Mexican Lime & Agave
1.5 – 2oz Blanco or Reposado tequila, or Mezcal..
–Lime Wedge (optional garnish)
–Salt (optional rim)
Method:
Shaker Method:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker full of ice,
Shake well, and strain over fresh ice in a “rocks” glass or into a cocktail glass
Garnish with a lime wedge
(Salted rim is optional:
If you want the salted rim, use fine-grain salt and apply the salt to the outside rim ONLY.
Avoid putting salt inside the glass. (It will make the cocktail too salty)
Building the cocktail:
In a glass full of ice, add all ingredients, plus 2-3 ounces of water (for dilution),
Stir gently,
Garnish and serve.
Non-Alcoholic Version
4 oz of Fresh Victor Mexican Lime & Agave
1 oz water or sparkling water
Mixologist’s Notes:
This super simple margarita highlights the agave flavor shared by the sweetener and the raw ingredient of tequila: the Blue Weber Agave.
A “lime wedge” is ⅛o a whole lime, cut from end to end
