Valentine’s Is Twice As Nice At Fuego With Cupid’s Chocolate Weekend Brunches
and Romantic Valentine’s Day Dinner!

 

Fuego’s ‘Cupid Cabana’ offers sweethearts a romantic, semi-private heart-themed, love-filled dining experiences!!

 

Chocolate themed brunches just the way the Mayan’s intended on Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and sweetheart dinners on Tuesday, February 14 from 5-10 p.m., make Fuego at Hotel Maya twice as nice for a heartwarming Valentine’s Day weekend.

Fuego’s love-filled Cupid Chocolate Brunches will feature live entertainment both days by Francisco Reyes Latin Jazz Trio from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., along with Valentine’s Day Dinner featuring live entertainment with Latin Guitarist Daveed Alvarado from 6-9 p.m.

The Latin-infused Fuego restaurant sets the angelic mood with its lovingly decorated “Cupid Cabana” for up to 15 guests, which is available by reservation.
-Guests can also get Cupid’s party started with a delicious Pomegranate Valentini” made with Titos Vodka, Cointreau, pomegranate, and lime.(Stevie’s Note: This cocktail sounds amazing!!)

 

Mayapalooza Cupid’s Chocolate Brunches

 

 

Guests will enjoy Fuego’s regular weekend brunch menu, along with a sweet twist on Valentine’s Day with Mayapalooza inspired items that celebrate the Mayan’s discovery of chocolate with sweet specialties including Fuego starters such as Cocoa Barbacoa Quesadilla with braised cocoa short rib, a blend of Mexican cheeses, onion, cilantro and mango chipotle honey salsa, or try a Cocoa Poached Pear Salad with butter lettuce, poached pear, pine nuts, Ricotta cream cheese, and beet jus gastrique.

A variety of Cupid’s chocolate-centric entrees include Eggs Benedict & Cocoa Cakes with two poached eggs, cocoa potato cakes, artichoke heart, onion, spinach, asparagus and chipotle chocolate Hollandaise; Roasted Rack of Lamb with dark chocolate and port wine sauce, soft cheese polenta, white asparagus and heirloom carrots; Chicken Mole with poached chicken breast, mole negro and steamed jasmine rice; Dark Beer & Chocolate-Vaca Frita with Cuban-style fried short rib, grilled flat bread, fried eggs, daikon radish and crema fresca; Cocoa Rubbed Rib Eye Steak with chili cocoa blend, port wine gastrique, aged blue cheese, herb roasted potatoes and charred cauliflower; and Shrimp in Mole Amarillo with white chocolate infused mole Amarillo, charred cauliflower, and Shishito peppers.

Taco Callejeros offers three soft tortilla tacos with a chocolate choice of Cocoa Braised Barbacoa with Oaxacan-style beef barbacoa, flour tortilla, cilantro, jalapeno and onion; additional options are lime chicken, skirt steak and fish of the day.

Cupid’s chocolate flavored sweet treats include Chocolate Crème Brȗlée with caramelized sugar, Grand Marnier and soaked berries; Churros with sugar, cinnamon and cocoa, bitter sweet chocolate sauce, Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream; Metropolitano Chocolate Flan with Mexican custard, caramel, pineapple-strawberry pico, and cocoa cinnamon crisp; and Chocolate Soup with whipped Tahitian vanilla crème fraiche and croissant toast.

 

Valentine’s Day Dinner

 

Fuego’s sweetheart, four-course, prix fixe menu begins with the choice of Lobster Bisque with shrimp mousse, Serrano cream and chili oil; or Heirloom Carrot Salad with tri colored baby carrots, avocado, rajas, red onion, cilantro crumbled feta cheese and lavender citrus vinaigrette.

The second course offers the choice of Maryland Lump Crab Cake with manzano pepper coulis, watercress, radish and pickled Meyer lemon; or Little Gem Caesar Tijuanero with grilled Romaine hearts, crispy prosciutto, shiitake mushrooms, Parmesan cheese, sourdough crouton and Caesar dressing.

Fuego’s Valentine’s Day Dinner entrees include the choice of Cocoa Crusted Filet of Beef with cocoa rubbed prime filet mignon, chocolate mole negro, chanterelles, asparagus and whine soft cornmeal polenta; Australian Lamb Chops with mushroom-crusted lamb chops, lamb-mint jus sweet potato purée and sugar snow peas salad; Chilean Sea Bass with pan-roasted sea bass, fried sage butter sauce, blistered tomatoes, forbidden rice, arugula, shaved fennel and red radish; Jumbo Seared Scallops with chipotle sofrito, cauliflower purée, heirloom tomato, cilantro and apple balsamic; or White Truffle Risotto with crème fraîche, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, white truffles and micro arugula.

Sweetheart desserts include Double Chocolate Cake with layers of liquor scented chocolate cake, milk chocolate, chocolate Valrhona ganache, wild berries and vanilla crème; and Chocolate Truffles.
