Mother’s Day Is Coming Up Fast!

Celebrate Mom with Tasty Cocktails!

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching. and we can all agree that our moms deserve a treat that someone else has made just for her to enjoy! I have collected a lot of cocktail recipes courtesy of the various brands.  I am going to share them with you in advance of Mother’s Day so that you can collect all the ingredients before the holiday.

I have 5 cocktail recipes to share with you today.  I split the list of cocktails for Mother’s day into two parts. You need time to get the various spirits and cocktail glasses together, as well as practice
mixing up these cocktails.

If you carefully follow the recipe, you will find Mom impressed that you know how to make a tasty cocktail!

Madame Butterfly from Queen Miami Beach

“The Madame Butterfly is a refreshing blend of cucumber, shiso, and lime juice. With herbal notes of green chartreuse, this specialty cocktail is infused with vodka and finished with soft notes of honey and rhubarb.”
– Karol Ansaldi, Bar Manager at Queen Miami Beach

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Ketel One vodka
  • .25 oz green chartreuse
  • 1.5 oz shiso & cucumber water
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 0.75 oz honey
  • 2 dashes of rhubarb bitters
  • Watermelon radish garnish

Directions:
Build all ingredients in a tin shaker with ice.
Shake and strain into a Collins glass with fresh ice.
Garnish with watermelon radish.

 

Fancy Paloma from Sweet Liberty

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Altos Blanco tequila
  • .75 oz. Cointreau 
  • .25 oz. Select Aperitivo
  • 1 oz. Grapefruit juice
  • .5 oz. Lime juice
  • .5 oz. Pink peppercorn-infused agave nectar
  • 5 Dashes of pink peppercorn tincture
  • 3 Dashes of saline solution

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker.
Shake and strain on a Collins ice spear in a highball glass.
Top with Q grapefruit soda and stir.
Garnish with a grapefruit slice,
Add a small pinch of smoked salt on top of grapefruit + straw.

Passionata from Marion Miami

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Cazadores blanco
  •  .75 oz passion fruit
  • .75 oz simple syrup
  • .75 oz lime juice
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • .25oz ginger

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake vigorously,
Strain into a martini coupe.
Garnish with a dash of Angostura bitters and a Marigold flower.

Rose Gulab from Byblos Miami 

Byblos Gulab – Byblos Miami.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Ketel One vodka
  • .75 oz. pomegranate syrup
  • .75 oz. lemon juice

Directions:
 Add all the ingredients into a shaker.
Fill with ice.
Shake and strain into a glass.
If you’re feeling fancy, garnish the drink with 4 to 6 rose petals
and adda spritz of lemon zest.

Tip: At Byblos, they use homemade pomegranate syrup, but feel free to muddle whatever berries are left in the fridge.

Make Me Blush from Giselle Miami

Make Me Blush is an herbaceous gin cocktail with citrus notes. The martini includes a tableside presentation of violet liqueur ‘perfume’ sprays which bring floral notes and aromas to the cocktail – much like those reminiscent memories of mothers spritzing on their favorite scent.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Atian Dry Rose Gin
  • ½ oz Blood orange syrup
  • ½ oz Tamarind syrup
  • 1 oz Lemon

Table side: 3 perfume sprays of violet liqueur.

Directions:
Add all ingredients into a tin and shake vigorously.
Strain into a coupe glass.
Garnish with flower petals,
Once served, spray the cocktail with violet liqueur.
