Toast to the (Un)official Start of Summer with Fresh, Fruity Cocktails!

Summer is my favorite time of the year. I LOVE Summer because it’s warm and the days are long
, and I like going for a walk with friends in the twilight or sitting by a fire pit and sipping cocktails while toasting marshmallows.

Whether you’re lounging poolside or hosting a backyard BBQ,  here are some summery recipes from Reyka Vodka and Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum that are the perfect addition to a day of fun
in the sun. .. whether it’s Memorial Day weekend or   if you have  relaxing on a float  in a pool,
these cocktails will enhance your summer day or evening!

 

Reyka Appletini

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts granny smith apple-infused Reyka Vodka
  • 1 part Dolin Blanco Vermouth 
  • ½ part Lairds or St. George Apple Brandy 
  • Garnish with a slice of apple

 

Spicy Palmer

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ parts Reyka Vodka 
  • 1 part Ancho Reyes 
  • ¾ part Fresh Lemon Juice 
  • 6 parts Unsweetened Iced Tea 

Method:
Combine all ingredients into cocktail  shaker.
Shake and serve in Collins or Footed Pilsner glass,
Garnish with a lemon wheel.

 

Lightning On My Feet 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ parts Reyka Vodka 
  • 2 parts Pineapple Juice 
  • ¾ part Solerno Blood Orange
  • ½ part Fresh Lemon Juice 
  • Angostura Bitters 

Method:
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
Shake and serve over crushed ice in a rocks glass.
Top with a couple of dashes of bitters and garnish with a pineapple leaf. 

 

Ride On

Ingredients:

Method:

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
Shake and strain into an ice filled highball glass rimmed with
GYAO Mango Habanero Seasoning.

Top with 3 parts IPA beer of choice.
Garnish with a lemon slice.

 

Highball of Duty

Ingredients:

Method:
Build cocktail in Collins glass over ice, stirring until mixed well.
Garnish with pineapple wedge and leaf.

 

Spiced Rum Piña Colada

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
  • 1 part cream of coconut
  • ¼ pineapple juice

Method:
Add all ingredients to empty mixing glass and shake.
Add ice and shake again vigorously.
Strain into highball or tiki glass and fill with ice. Garnish with fresh pineapple, maraschino cherry and toasted coconut flakes.
