Great Cocktail Recipes for National Tequila Day: Stemilt and Milagro Tequilas!

 

 

 With National Tequila Day coming up on 7/24, wanted to share a recipe for a unique fruit-forward twist on a classic cocktail: Stemilt’s Cherry Margarita!
It uses fresh cherries and orange seltzer for a fresh, seasonal take on a favorite summer drink, and is the perfect sip to try out for the holiday.

 

 

Stemilt Cherry Margarita

Ingredients

●        Ice

●        Juice of 1 Lime

●        1-2 teaspoons of light agave nectar

●        1 ounce triple sec

●        1 1/2 ounce reposado tequila (one full shot from standard size shot glass)

●        Orange Seltzer

●        Stemilt Dark Sweet Cherries, pitted and halved

 

Directions

  1. In a shaker, combine ice, lime juice, agave nectar, triple sec, and tequila and shake vigorously.
  2. Fill a 12oz. glass ½ way with ice.
    Add 2 pitted & halved cherries and press lightly against side of glass to release some juice. Then add into drink.
  3. Pour contents from shaker into glass. Top off with orange seltzer
  4. Top off with orange seltzer

 

The Freshest Margarita 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 parts Milagro Silver
  • ¾ parts agave nectar*
  • 1 part fresh lime juice
  • 1 lime wheel

Preparation:
Pour all ingredients into a Boston shaker,
Add ice, shake and strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass.
Garnish with a lime wheel.
* Or Substitute with Simple Syrup.

 

Milagro Ranch Water 

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 parts Milagro Silver
  • 1.5 parts Fresh Lime Juice
  • Soda Water to top off
  • Lime Wheel 

Method:
Fill highball glass with ice, add tequila & fresh lime juice,
Top with soda water
Garnish with lime wheel

 

Paloma Select 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ Parts Milagro Select Silver
  • ½ Part Agave Nectar*
  • 1 Part Pink Grapefruit Juice
  • ½ Parts Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3 Parts Sparkling Water 
  • 1 Pink Grapefruit Wedge 

*Or Substitute with Simple Syrup

Method:
 Pour all ingredients, except sparkling water, into a Boston shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously and strain into a highball glass with fresh ice.
Top with sparkling water.
Garnish with speared grapefruit wedge.

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts Milagro Silver
  • 1 part Fresh lime juice
  • ¾ part Agave nectar
  • ¼ part Tabasco hot sauce (3-4 dashes of hot sauce)
  • 3 slices of cucumber
