It’s Time to Celebrate Summer!

Here are some great restaurants you should try!

Some are a bit of a drive, the food makes it a worthwhile drive!

Soulmate

Soulmate in West Hollywood is the perfect open-air restaurant imbued with feelings of warm community and Spanish-Mediterranean hospitality—perfect for a summer celebration. Featuring a massive patio that takes center stage at the West Hollywood space, the outdoor area highlights a massive eucalyptus, as well as vines and florals along the plush seating arrangements. With the layout
pairing colorful booths along with community areas such as the live fire and bar area, guests are welcome to indulge in Soulmate’s creative menu which takes a modern twist on the Spanish, Mediterranean, and Californian cuisines. Enjoy the decadent and filling Pork Belly Sliders ($16) or share the Lamb Skewers ($28) with a larger party of friends. Head on over to the outdoor bar for signature cocktails Soulmate ($18) and Weekend in Palm Springs ($18).

Hot Cakes Bakes and Evil Twin

Evil Twin is the newest LA favorite alongside sister concept Hotcakes Bakes and is dedicated to celebrating wine and community. This shared space offers guests a tranquil escape from the bustling city. Nestled in the cozy back patio, guests can indulge in
Evil Twin’s new and simple yet high-quality menu of French-inspired tapas dining with locally sourced small bites. Opt for the luscious flavor of the Parisian Gnocchi ($22) or the premium Charcuterie ($25) to pair with an international selection of hand-picked wines. After, enjoy a sweet afternoon treat at Hotcakes Bakes to wrap up an evening complete with sweet and savory bites,
rich wine, and even biweekly comedy nights.

Tulsi Indian Eatery

Tulsi Indian Eatery is the perfect pit stop for a summer lunchtime with a menu that can satisfy any guest’s cravings. Bringing the hearty and spicy, yet sophisticated taste of India to the sunshiney streets of LA, Tulsi’s DTLA and Northridge locations feature a clean outdoor patio where guests can soak in the summer sun in large and small groups. Try the Loaded Makhani Fries ($6) for a filling midday snack, the Chilli Garlic Fried Rice ($9) for the vegan friend, or check out Tulsi’s selection of fruit-flavored Lassi ($5), a traditional yogurt-based dessert drink for the sweet and fruity smoothie lovers. And the best of it all? No reservations are required!

YAKUMI!

In the heart of Burbank, Yakumi’s outdoor patio is the ideal destination for an upscale and easy-to-order fast sushi experience. The Japanese dining concept combines the calming elements of a traditional Japanese sushi restaurant with the light-hearted convenience of casual combination box menus—all while ensuring the freshest flavors with high-quality ingredients and premium fish. Guests can enjoy the Class Combination ($24) with a thoughtfully curated selection of 5-piece sushi, rolls, and salad, along with some refreshing sake-infused cocktails like the Peach Lemon Drop ($7). Yakumi’s signature combination menus allow guests to relax in the candle-lit-casual outdoor patio, or order sushi for takeout. Guests can place their orders online for pickup.

These restaurants are really great, so check them out.
I will be putting together another grouping of restaurants in various areas where I live and places that I love.
