Mike Vitale Provides an Update on His Tour!
He will play in Denver Colorado on Sunday, 8/13!
Mike has written a bit of a diary about his travels across the country!
I have been driving like crazy the past few days and arrived in Colorado Springs late last night.
I’m playing my last show outside of California, tomorrow, in the Denver, Colorado area for the Alta Vista Summer Concert Series. If you are local to the Denver, CO area and would like to attend the show, you are invited and it is open to the public. Simply shoot me an email or a direct message on social media and I’ll get you all the pertinent info to attend.
CALIFORNIA SHOWS: I have a few local shows that I’ll be playing in August that I wanted to tell you about.
—I’m playing in Fullerton, California on August 19, next Saturday, at The Night Owl.
It’s gonna be a bit of a homecoming extravaganza sharing the stage with some friends. Music starts at 7pm, and I go on at 9pm.
–The second show is a bit later in the month and is that brightly colored flyer above. I’ll be playing a few songs for Brenda Carsey’s house concert series she does every month in Pasadena. It is limited seating event and I’ll be playing this as a duo with my friend Tom Bremer. There are four acts performing aside from us: Guyville, Jung, and Daisy Abrams. RSVP and tickets are required to attend. A link is available below to pick up your spot today.
There are only 30 seats available. RSVP
Help Purchase a New Guitar:
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has been contributing to my GoFundMe to raise money for an acoustic guitar. I am so thankful and beyond words for all of your contributions. We have raised $1,230 out of a goal of $4,000.
I have been touring constantly since the pandemic has ended, and it hasn’t really given me the adequate amount of time required to fix my Martin acoustic guitar, which I always take on tour and is in dire need of a major overhaul.
Aside from it needing a new fret job and repairs to the soundboard, it is also losing all of its binding, which is the what keeps that back and soundboard
attached to the rest of the body.
While I am returning to California, I will only be home for about 1 month before I go back out on tour again. I need to see if I can submit my
Martin to a certified repair person to have it worked on while I am gone for my fall tour. The money being raised, is to help me get into a new guitar while my Martin is being repaired.
DONATIONs
My deepest appreciation to Scott Spencer, Deborah Jones, Jeffrey Dow, Robert Whiting, Cindy Sicchio, Fernando Gallegos, Angela Gaytan, Colin Cutler,
David Puckett, Bill Bennett, Susan Todoroff, Stephen H Manville, Austin Young, Benjamin Jaffe, Angela Petrilli, Joshua Day, Robert Emerson, Erika Magana, and Andrea Birkholm.
LA-‘Story thanks Mike Vitale for allowing me to run this update that Mike has written. His music is spot on and I have followed his recent tour because
it was very challenging! If you can spare a couple of dollars to help Mike get his main guitar repaired and refurbished, it would be a great help to Mike!
