Café Gratitude Teams Up With Celebrity Chef and Author Priyanka Naik for an Indian-Fusion Pop-Up Dinner Party on October 18th

Cafe Gratitude’s Chef Collaboration Series Presents: Fusion Soiree Under the Stars with Chef Seizan Dreux Ellis and Chef Priyanka Naik!
WHAT:

As part of their ongoing pop-up dinner series, Café Gratitude invites guests to Venice for an enchanting evening with Celebrity Chef and Author Priyanka Naik on Wednesday, October 18, at 7:00 p.m.

Café Gratitude’s Executive Chef Dreux Ellis and Chef Priyanka have curated a four-course, entirely plant-based, Indian-fusion dinner that will be served al fresco on the restaurant’s warm and inviting outdoor patio accompanied by live acoustic music. 

“I’m so excited to cook alongside Chef Dreux and the Café Gratitude team to bring my Indian-fusion menu to life! I want guests to feel immersed in my life with every bite of food they take,” said Chef and Author Priyanka Naik.

This menu is not only a fusion of global flavors, but an eco-friendly menu – nearly every part of the produce is used across the menu. I want people to leave feeling like they have a widened perspective on vegan cooking and an increased curiosity with flavors from around the world.”

The four-course tasting menu combines the traditional flavors of Indian cuisine with global influences to create a harmonious fusion of flavors starting:
–with Bhutta Masala (Indian Esquites) made with chaat masala, spicy tomato chutney, herbed coconut cream, and herbed whole wheat cup, and
–Tostones Chaat made with crispy double-fried plantains, chickpeas, tamarind chutney, and mint-coriander chutney.

For the main courseTamarind Tofu Bánh Mì (recipe from The Modern Tiffin) made with a herby cucumber carrot slawsriracha mayo, and tamarind tofu on a toasted baguette.
–To finish the evening, the chefs have prepared a Mango Mousse Parfait for dessert made with rose and cardamom and topped with Gratitude superfood crumble.
Chef Priyanka Naik is a self-taught Indian vegan and sustainable chef, a Food Network champion, TV host, author, and public speaker. As a world traveler, she has visited over 40 countries and is a social media star with over 275k followers. Priyanka’s mission is to showcase delicious, eco-friendly, and plant-forward food while staying true to her Indian roots.

Chef Seizan Dreux Ellis served as a founding chef at Le Spighe, the first vegetarian restaurant in Venice, Italy, and he spent eight years in Venice working a traditional apprenticeship at hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants.
In April 2021, Chef Dreux came to Venice, California, as Executive Chef of Café Gratitude in Southern California, bringing his health-based, flavor-driven cuisine to a broader audience. He now oversees the culinary direction and development of Cafe Gratitude and Gracias Madre restaurants in Los Angeles and Orange County.
Tickets to the pop-up dinner can be purchased on Eventbrite for $130 per person or $150 per person, which includes a copy of The Modern Tiffin cookbook, inclusive of an intimate book signing by Chef Priyanka at the end of the evening.
