While not everyone who walks the red carpet is a well-known celebrity to the public, there are many who attend these events who are winners known within the industry. Winning a Tony for Spring Awakening in 2007, Steven Sater (lyricist/poet) and Duncan Sheik (composer) were nominated for the Grammys for Musical Show Album so they (and their significant other’s) were attending this event.
Winning a Grammy on top of a Tony is icing on the cake for the Sater and Sheik (Duncan is known most notably for indie/rock music).
Gilding this golden “Spring Awakening” win and going with the glow is Lori Sater, wife of lyricist Steven Sater, who attended the Grammys in a a dress by Les Habitudes, worn with exquisite jewelry from Damiani.
