Just in time for National Cocktail Day this weekend, Gray Whale Gin is releasing
a brand new cocktail book, called The Shift Cocktail Book by Gray Whale Gin,
highlighting 30 bartenders across the country and benefitting the Restaurant Workers Community Foundation, in addition to the brand’s ongoing conservation efforts with every purchase giving back to 1% for the Planet and Oceana.
The Shift Cocktail Book by Gray Whale Gin is a celebration of the creative talents
of all the bartenders who inspire their communities and create moments for people to
come together with family and friends for good times around a great cocktail. During
the pandemic, Gray Whale Gin paired up with 30 bartenders across the country who
created and shared their very own cocktail recipes on social, a program we called the
“Virtual Shift.”
We’ve since gathered all these stellar cocktail recipes, beautiful cocktail portraits, and
mixology tips from the bartenders into this first-time book where you’ll find drinks for
every occasion, such as martinis, batched cocktails, highballs, sours, and brilliant twists
on gin classics, as well as some California wanderlust inspiration.
To mark its publication, Gray Whale Gin is making a donation to the Restaurant Workers
Community Foundation, an action and advocacy network for those in the industry,
that is earmarked for financial relief and to provide vital social services to protect their
physical and mental well-being.
