The theme of the night–and succeeding day’s conference– was/is Be Who You Are!The trick of this theme is to look inside yourself and find out who you really are–what it is you want, what you dream about and align those dreams and desires with the person that you are. How?
Some of the ways were discussed at this conference and you walk away not so much transformed but *seeded* to develop a crop of new ideas, new plans and a new you.
The night kicked off with Giselle Fernandez as emcee
Giselle looked sleek, sexy and very 2008 in a black dress, hair up and vibrant on stage!
She introduced Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster who thanked everyone for coming.
Maria Shriver provided an energizing introductory speech to the evening in anticipation of the next day’s “long day” conference.
Lean Cuisine sponsored the events of the Night at the Village and Director of Marketing, Lean Cuisine, Kristin Gibbs talked about the importance about bringing women of all ages, ethnicities and lifestyles together to join together in order to learn and share and even can create a new life or business or path for themselves –even helping others.
Kristin Gibbs who looks so much better in real life! She’s a real firecracker and a beautiful woman.
Roshawnda Bettencourt, recited her award winning poem from the 2008 California State Poetry Out Loud Competition.
The fun really kicked into gear with a live interview/conversation between Valerie Bertinelli
and Rachael Ray— more interview of Rachael by Valerie rather than the other way around that Ray is typically known for.
There were musical performance , demonstrations by chefs like Rocco DiSpirito,
Dana Slatkin and Scott Liebfried.
( Hell’s Kitchen). Other seminars included Mind, Body & Spirit too for mind/body integration, finding personal style , going “green”, becoming your personal best as well as how to clear your mind from the noise in life. It was an evening of inspiration and interesting meetings including book signings by many noted authors– including celebrities like Dr. Oz, Jamie Lee Curtis and more.
There was also a lot of shopping and networking to be done– Check out the photos and sights & scenes from The Village! . A video will be added and there will be MORE videos and photos of The Village in upcoming posts.
This evening was a *quieter* prelude to the amazing event that was starting early the next day with a killer schedule of speakers and demonstrations .
