At the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday evening, celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak sent best actress in a supporting role nominee Emma Stone down the red carpet in a simple, sleek, sculptural bun created using Leonor Greyl products.
“Emma’s Louis Vuitton dress is so striking with these strong elements, and I really didn’t want to compete with that. It’s elegant, sleek and high-shine, and I wanted the hair to match,” says Roszak.
–On damp, rough-dried hair, she sprayed Stone’s roots with Condition Naturelle to add volume and a bit of hold.
–She then applied the Sérum de Soie Sublimateur to the ends of the hair to smooth and add shine, as well as “de-frizz during the blowout.”
–Next, she parted the hair deep to the side and blow-dried it with a medium-size round boar-bristle brush.
“I added two-inch Velcro rollers to the tops and sides for even more volume,” Roszak adds. “I sprayed the hair with Leonor Greyl Voluforme setting and styling spray and let the rollers set and cool before pulling the hair into a low, tight ponytail, securing with an elastic and applying Leonor Greyl Éclat Natural.“
“I wish the Éclat Natural came in a tub that’s the size of a person because I’m constantly using it. It’s lightweight, smells amazing and is gorgeous on the hair!”
–She wrapped the hair into a twisted bun and pinned it in place with bobby pins.
–To finish the look, Roszak set the hair with Laque Souple light styling spray for extra hold.
