It’s now later August and the stores are full of fall fashions but the weather makes it impossible to wear them. While we want to buy, the trick is to make everything work so that you can transition to fall later in late September or even into October. Here in Los Angeles, we are lucky to be able to wear lighter clothing during the day but the temps drop pretty rapidly at night so a jacket or coat is a must. I was visiting the PR person for Ritmo Mundo and had a chance to scope out these watches. Granted I had a funky slap watch on that day from Target might be the reason why she showed it to me– but these are so incredibly luxe, moderne and fun all at the same time that I couldn’t resist featuring them.

Check Out the Scene– and Sunglasses — at the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach!
While you were watching the Olympics, there was another major sporting event that had serious spots cred running here in California. Surf City AKA Huntington Beach held the annual US Open of Surfing here and the place was packed. You would swear there was no such thing as the Olympics going on. Go figure that one out– but there were tons of people on the beach.
