Have you been part of the “Urban Experiment“? I have– and if you haven’t seen this, you need to go check this out.
Redken has created a new line of hair products for guys and girls that will have you blowing out the door.
Part of the Urban Experiment collection is to create a look — that translates into a lifestyle and even a state of mind– so check out the DARE Directory which gives you ideas of things to do– and things to report back to the DARE DIARY section including
Playing hookey with your dog
Waking up and watching the sunrise
Hop the next flight “out of here” ( oooh that’s sooooooooooo me!!)
Wear sunglasses at night (done that!!– even drove home that way. Oooh. dangerous in LA!)
Try on something you can’t afford ( soooooo done that. Does $300 K count?)
Pole dance on a subway (now that would be a sight huh)
Read a dictionary on a train
Paint a mural on your wall
Throw a ouija party
Bring back 80’s lingo/slang.. (so let’s get down tonight)
Give a lottery ticket to a stranger
Give a “mix” CD to a stranger.
I did report a couple things in the dare diary (now if I can just get someone to invite me to stay with them in NYC or that locale– it would be all good)
THERE’S MORE!!
Of you manage to hit that “Urban Experiment” website, definitely check out the podcasts. The first one features Styleaholic Najwa Moses and Sandra who are thrust from their NYC locales to someplace in the midwest to engage in activities that are distinctly contrary to their background or fashion quotient.
It’s hilarious and fun ! This is done in conjunction with Flavorpill Magazine and will be a contest for each major city as they seek out new people to feature — the next city up is Chicago the Windy City.. so be aware windy city girls that you can audition or compete to participate in this video that will put you in decidedly different environments.
So for those who know Naj.. and Sandra, kudos for getting through this with style and grace!
