One of the coolest things I get to do is cover the suites preceding the awards shows!! There are TONS of them– and they are fun, fascinating and fabulous because you never know what you will see in terms of events or products and who will be there when you get there –celebrity-wise..
Sonya Dakar kicked off Emmy week with several days of treatments and it was a treat to visit her salon in Beverly Hills.
Celebs and guests were treated to manicures, pedicures, facials, spray tanning, massages, lash applications and hair styling in the most luxurious enviroment.
I managed to snag Fab’lous Lashes “lash master” Ja’Maal Buster and he put a great set of lashes on my peepers!
Post treatment, guests were hitting the terrace to check out the product bazaar.
This bazaar featured jewelry, Fab’lous Lashes by Ja’Maal Buster (he did my lashes!!), ABS Clothing, Sportsclub LA, Hansen Beverages, State of Mind Water (water with a message), ICIO water lightly flavored with peppermint (YUM!) and inside the hair salon were MORE products including men’s grooming products — a new line launching from Chi and also Chi hair products!
One of the cool features was the One of the cool $1 MILLION DOLLAR DIAMOND CHI CERAMIC HAIRSTYLING IRON.
Farouk Systems Group featured their Exclusive Million Dollar Diamond CHI Ceramic Hairstyling Iron. Blue N’ White Diamonds, Inc. designed this “one of a kind” tool, containing over 6,800, 3pt. flawless non-conflict diamonds each carefully set in an 18K Gold casing.
Michael Urie with Ugly Betty says they use and love the CHI products on their set!
Paula Abdul was shocked when she caught sight of CHI’s Diamond Ceramic Hairstyling Iron, so she held it up to her hair and loved it! We loved CHI products so much that we walked out with a bag full of samples and regular size items.
Such a beautiful location with warm sunny weather– it was the perfect way to kick off Emmy week
