LA Fashion Week Round-up: Box Eight Eduardo Lucero Courtesy of Debutante Clothing

Now that LA Fashion Week is *truly over* (yes there were shows even up to last week), now let’s begin the wrap and commentary.
Have to say that the spread of events over 2+ weeks is a bit ridiculous. People, we have other things to do and must move on. However one has to realize that yet again, IMG failed to deliver the *one size fits all* location for ALL shows– meaning that Smashbox had a majority of shows but Box Eight had some of the most cutting edge shows downtown at St. Vibianas (a former Catholic church,) now known just as Vibianas.. Great place to have a fashion show if you think about it! Also there were a smattering of shows across LA’s Sunset Strip and even into Century City. Hello? If you haven’t realized gas prices are about $3.50 a gallon here in LA, try driving across to all these locations and you can figure out the problems — and parking of course meant pay pay pay the valet and/or the meter and skip the tip.
Debutante Clothing’s Sandra gave us a hint of what happened at BOX EIGHT’s Eduardo Lucero Show which shows that Hollywood Glam is not gone.

Eduardo Lucero took a more adventurous route. Taking inspiration from the decadent arches and remaining soul of the former St. Vibiana’s Cathedral, Lucero crafted a collection that went from mourning catholic women styled in black veils and very Isabella Blow like head pieces. according to Sandra.
