Jewelry designer Alex and Ani has partnered with Vogue and Merck and Co. to promote awareness of HPV (human papillomavirus), one of the leading causes of cervical cancer that affects the lives of nearly 10,000 women each year. Carolyn Rafaelian of Alex and Ani is known for her signature charm bracelets to promote women’s health and she is helping to make young women aware of this potentially fatal disease the Vogue way: by designing a stylish, limited edition bangle set.

The Charm 4 Life bangle set is adorned with a special charm—the Chinese Peony flower that is a symbol of feminine beauty and reproduction.
The set of four bangles costs $32 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Prevent Cancer Foundation, which will use the funds to implement cervical cancer awareness programs and screenings nationwide. The Charm4Life bangle is meant to remind women to value their body, to lead healthy lives, and hopefully to learn about cervical cancer and HPV from their doctors. For more information see the Charm4Life website or check out http://www.preventcancer.org/
The Charm 4 Life bangle is available for purchase at www.charm4life.com and www.alexandani.com
Definitely something to think about buying for yourself, or buying a set and breaking up the set to give 3 or 4 of your BFF’s a single bangle!
