Getting Gorge Courtesy of Giorgio Armani Beauty & Tim Quinn, Make-up Artist Extraordinare!!

Looking at the cosmetic counters in August is looking at both summer and fall collections. Given that the summer collections aren’t going to be long on counter much longer, it’s time to snap up those ideal things that are worth getting because they are great staples year-round and others that can blend into fall and other items in your make-up kit. What are key items beyond mascara and lip pencil that will work for you through the holidays? Given the tight economy, it’s about maximizing your dollar and still having that high end glow and sheen.
Recently there have been a a flurry of emails between Giorgio Armani Beauty’s Make-up Artist, Tim Qunn and I about how to take key elements from the Armani Beauty Summer 2008 Bronzemania collection

: How would you suggest using the Bronzemania Collection for fall–i.e., what elements can be used for fall? What would one buy to maximize the use for summer, fall and even into holiday?
Tim Quinn Answer:
The bronzer can be used year round. It’s always good to keep a glow!

As for the eyes, i like to use the light gold all over the lid and just dust the deepest ochre along the lashline with layers and layers of mascara.

Mix a bit of Bronze Gel into the Face Fabric Foundation. It’s lightweight and has SPF 15.
The colors,–especially the golden tones– can be used through the fall (and awards season) right into holiday!

Gold is still a huge story for the holiday season and always looks so festive!
You can also add a bit of aubergine or even deep forest green into the bronze story to carry through to fall. i use the Eye Pencil #6 (deep green) or #5(aubergine). It’s the perfect fall look.

Question: What about the Armani Beauty Fall Collection? Tell us about it!
Tim Quinn Answer:
Our fall highlight is the Python Palette which is inspired directly from our runway collections.
It’s both a shadow and lip compact. The shadows are embossed to mimic python skin and the colors range from taupe to shades of grey and deep black. The lips have two choices: nude and a berry-toned jewel-like color which is so fab!
Also we are introducing Lip Wax: six shades of lipstain ina pot with a mirror. Casual chic.

Sounds like Armani Beauty has a lot going on for fall (not to mention the hush hush holiday collection) but purchasing some of the golden bronze colors from the summer collection and working some of the Python Palette into it (particularly the berry lip color and Lip Wax), one can work miracles for fall into holiday and then just pick up a couple of key items for holiday.
Sounds like Giorgio Armani Beauty is going to have us all glam and gorge this year!!
