A winter ball for the American Ballet School is a fun luxe event, Blake Lively attended this fab event at the Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater in New York City.
Celebrating the School’s 75th Anniversary, Blake wore an elegant, floor-length Ralph Lauren black sheath dress complimented by several stunning pieces from the legendary French jeweler and Winter Ball sponsor, Van Cleef & Arpels.

Pieces from Van Cleef & Arpels included:
• 1970 Estate diamond and onyx necklace in yellow gold
• Vintage Alhambra diamond and yellow gold necklaces worn as layered bracelets
To honor the School’s 75th Anniversary, Van Cleef & Arpels created a special Award of Excellence named after Claude Arpels, whose friendship with SAB co-founder George Balanchine inspired the ballet “Jewels” in 1967.
The first award, which will become annual, was presented to George Balanchine posthumously and was accepted by SAB Artistic Director Peter Martins.
Yummy jewelry, fabulous event, smashing award for the late and amazingly great Balanchine!
