Getting Designer Glam with Christian Lacroix's Absynthe from AVON!!

I love fragrance. I must have a slew of fragrances to choose from plus a ton of little sample bottles from Luckyscent.com because I am “always” in search of the perfect fragrance– or a signature that I seems to reflect my many moods. I need something that adapts but since that hasn’t quite been invented yet, I tend to blend a lot of different things together and I wear both men’s and women’s scents.
I am not a fragrance snob– or at least not any more since Avon came out with the new Christian Lacroix Absynthe fragrance. I was hesitant to try this at first but I kept the flyer that came across my desk and requested the bottle after mulling over the notes.

It’s an interesting and evolving scent that really has something to say– as does Mr. Lacroix and the fragrance creator.
According to Scented Salamander, there is much here to check out:
Fashion designer Christian Lacroix has interpreted the color of absinthe for his Absynthe upon Avon more in the direction of Chartreuse green judging from the visuals. He was, like all of us, attracted by its mystery saying,
“Absynthe, a mysteriously mesmerizing 19th century potion known as the green fairy, is still one of the world’s most seductive mysteries. Irresistibly inviting, dangerously captivating – a great inspiration to my fashion and newest fragrance.”…

While Absynthe is a somewhat green liqueur it does change color once you add something to it *( see my post on Absinthe. Interesting to the taste, it’s heavy on the licorice side but this fragrance spins its fragrance web a bit differently with these great notes.
NOTES:
TOP: absinthe extract, golden freesia, green anise
HEART: orchid, saffron, narcissus nectar
BASE: antique wood, ebony musk, myrrh , amber
It starts off a bit on the sweet side but the drydown is nice and it does change up over time. I like that part– it appeals to my ever-changing attitude.. and appearance. (hmmm is that good or bad? Someone has called me a bad ass and a woman’s woman and another has said I am that morphing chameleon.. depending on what I am doing. Guess that’s fair.) This fragrance can handle every facet of your personality!!
Available now at Avon.com for $32.00, this is a unique scent for summer and would be something to wear at night or perhaps during the day.
