Two of my favorite tv series got cancelled: Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money. It kills me that they aren’t coming back but at least the studios wrapped up the story lines so there are no hanging threads.
Drity Sexy Money
Dirty Sexy Money: The Complete Second and Final Season is on DVD and scandals rock the privileged world of the Darling family as Season 2 of television’s most delectably dishy drama gets dirtier and sexier than ever before.
After the death of his father in a helicopter crash, idealistic lawyer Nick George (Peter Krause) is convinced to take over his role as family attorney for the impossibly wealthy Darling dynasty: industrialist Tripp (Sutherland) and his socialite wife Letitia (Jill Clayburgh), plus their children Patrick (William Baldwin), Brian (Glenn Fitzgerald), Karen (Natalie Zea) and Jeremy (Seth Gabel.) Nick’s efforts to uncover the truth about his father’s death play second fiddle to his job as all-purpose fixer for the Darlings, whose little difficulties include keeping politician Patrick’s transgendered mistress under wraps,
four-time divorcee Karen’s ill-advised engagement to her father’s most dangerous enemy and Letitia’s upcoming trial–for the murder of Nick’s father.
The Second and Final Season of the juiciest hour-long drama on TV heats up as ruthless prosecutor Nola Lyons (Lucy Liu) hounds Letitia in and out of the courtroom, and scheming businessman Simon Elder (Blair Underwood) hatches a scheme that threatens to destroy Darling Enterprises.
The acclaimed cast of Dirty Sexy Money: The Complete Second and Final Season includes Peter Krause (“Six Feet Under”), Donald Sutherland (“Path To War,” “Fool’s Gold”), William Baldwin (Noise, The Squid and the Whale), Natalie Zea (“Without A Trace,” “The Shield,” “CSI”), Glenn Fitzgerald (“Law & Order,” “Six Feet Under”), Seth Gabel (The Da Vinci Code, “Nip/Tuck”), Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angeles), Blair Underwood (“In Treatment”), Zoe McLellan (Conversations with God, “J.A.G”) and Jill Clayburgh
(An Unmarried Woman, Running With Scissors).

Eli Stone is the most unusual show with an incredibly talented cast and amazing story. It’s serious and funny at the same time and presents tv in an entirely new way. So sad to see it go!
Corporate litigator Eli Stone (Johnny Lee Miller) went from legal barracuda to cockeyed optimist overnight after suffering a brain aneurysm. Now instead of representing deep-pocketed corporations in court, he has musical visions that awaken a newfound social conscience. In Season Two of the most original legal drama on television, Eli convinces his hard-nosed boss Jordan Wethersby (Victor Garber) that pro bono is the way
to go. But there’s no way Wethersby’s daughter (and Eli’s former fiancée) Taylor (Natasha Henstridge) is going to let her dad change the firm’s direction without a fight.
Eli Stone: The Complete Second and Final Season features guest appearances by Katie Holmes, Taraji Henson, Sigourney Weaver, Katey Sagal and Seal.
Eli Stone’s multi-talented cast includes Johnny Lee Miller (Aeon Flux, Trainspotting), Victor Garber (Milk, ” Alias”), Natasha Henstridge (“Commander in Chief,” Species), James Saito (Devil’s Advocate, Thomas Crown Affair), Matt Lestcher (“Brothers and Sisters”), Julie Gonzalo (“Veronica Mars”), Loretta Devine (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Boston Public”), Sam Jaeger (Catch and Release) and Thomas Cavanaugh (“Ed,” “Scrubs”) plus guest appearances by Katie Holmes, Taraji P. Henson, Sigourney Weaver, Katey Sagal and Seal.
Bonus Features
• Dancin’ In The Streets – Anyone who can’t get enough of Eli Stone’s musically gifted legal eagles (and who can?) will enjoy this look at the making of one of the show’s epic production numbers. The cast puts their dancing shoes on and gets ready to boogie at the legendary Capitol Records building, then takes their performance to the streets of Paramount Studios.
• Matt & Maggie – This featurette goes behind the scenes of Eli Stone from two very distinct points of view: spontaneous and hilarious Sam Jaeger (who plays Matt Dowd) and the sweet and sensitive Julie Gonzalo (the show’s’ Maggie Dekker).
• Deleted Scenes
• Circular File: Bloopers from Season Two -The cast of Eli Stone trips, slips, *bleeps* and falls through some of Season 2’s funniest impromptu moments.
This four-disc set contains all 13 episodes, plus deleted scenes and entertaining
features that go behind the scenes of this quirky audience favorite. The MSRP is $34.99.
Definitely get this DVD set and watch it. It’s fabulous and fun. It’s available at amazon.com and mass market retailers
