Tone Body Wash has stepped up their game– or visibility– with the help of Aussie singer-songwriter Orianthi, best known for her hit song “According to You,” and her beyond exceptional guitar skills. (Before his death, Michael Jackson asked Orianthi to play guitar on his London comeback tour, alongside the likes of Carlos Santana, Eddie Van Halen, and Slash.) She was out on tour with Adam Lambert’s Glamnation tour this summer and I saw her live and upclose.
Recently, Tone’s Facebook followers were able to live chat with Orianthi about her music, her beauty routine, and lots more information.
Here are my questions for Orianthi and her answers.
What are the key things you always packs when heading out on tour? (those things that make the bus “home” for as long as it is)
o A very plush pillow, laptop, headphones, coffee, hairdyer and candles·
How do you find the time to pamper yourself?
o I get up very early, so I have the morning to myself to workout and be centered before everyone else wakes up
· Touring is hard… and making sure you look and feel good has got to be key – What things, products, tips, techniques does you use/do/employ to make sure you are ready to “rock & roll” and still be sane at the end of the day?
o Try to get at least 6 hours sleep and drink enough water and eat something good every 2-3 hours.
o I like to wash my hair quite a bit on tour as the products can build up so you want it to look and feel soft…and because I am blond I have to be careful my hair doesn’t get too dry
Orianthi stated that in participating in building this Facebook community it would help inspire more female artists & provide a supportive forum for them to talk about their careers and personal lives. . “It’s never an easy world when you’re in the arts, especially when you’re in music,” says Orianthi. “It’s so important to believe in yourself.”
