Phillip Bloch is one of those quintessential stylists. I remember when I first saw him at an Oscar suite (back when Oscar suites were really special affairs) running down the hall with to another suite with the wife of Ben Kingsley who was turning heads with the gorgeous gown she was wearing. They were heading to land of shoes, bags and jewelry and while she was gorgeous, he was dapper. It’s a sight I can still see in my mind. It was either the first or second time covering red carpet events and this was one of those times where nominees really did frequent the suites and I met Shoresh Aghdashloo— and she was immersed in this land of wonderment, a land that Phillip Bloch traverses so easily.
