Holy cow.. last week on Wednesday night, I was working late (hmm, wonder when I am not?) and realizing that Juneau and Xena were talking to Monte Pittman , Creative Director for Adam Lambert’s Glamnation tour and I find out about it at 7:58. Thinking it was in process of shutting down, I was kicking myself 1) for working too late and 2) for not knowing about Monte. I could have been listening to the conversation between Monte and Juneau and Xena in The Salon. I shut down for the night only to find out the next morning that the Salon wasn’t over at the 1 hour mark but went on for TWO hours!!!
I was really kicking myself then! I could have gotten more done while listening to Monte talk to people on the phone.
Glitter Monte, by Claudia Cloods
Excerpt from Juneau & Xena’s On the Meaning of Adam Lambert blog on Monte’s interview.
A conversation with Monte is an adventure for the interviewers — amusing, informative and insightful for the listeners and radio hosts alike!
Monte talked about his new album “Pain, Love & Destiny”, his source of inspiration, how he is developing this project and who else might be involved.
We asked about Monte’s Kickstarter campaign and how we can help bring “Pain, Love & Destiny” to fruition. We will be announcing a special promotion to encourage donations very soon.
We played a couple of songs from Monte’s current album “The Deepest Dark” as he described the arc of the music on the album. His vocals on the second song we played, ”After the Last Wave”, are sweet and seductive and Monte explained the inspiration for the song.
Here’s a snippet of the podcast for your entertainment (ha!! got ya!) Give it a couple seconds to queue up– because there is no intro from me. You get to dive right into the Salon’s interview!

Monte is also a devoted philanthropist, supporting a charity that puts musical instruments into children’s hands “Little Kids Rock”. Monte spoke passionately about his commitment to music for young children and how we can support this very worthy cause. We agreed to donate $1 for each chat room guest and $1 for each caller, so the radio show raised $74 for Little Kids Rock! Thanks to everyone who participated.
